Bright Light, horrible housing. Finally got to use this light on a deep-drop swordfish outing.Installed batteries, sealed the cap and dropped to 1250 ft with the light 10-ft over the bait.Soaked for about 45 minutes with no bites. Retrieved the set to move locations and the lightwas full of water, and needless to say it was not functioning. Setting this drop has no room forpoor equipment.

I was hoping these would be a solid green light like the most of the reviews/questions say about the short ones. As of 10/27/24 Short ones (12 cm/4.7 inch) DO FLASH despite what other reviews/questions say.

I ordered both the 12 cm and the 17cm. The 12cm (1 battery) did not blink. The 17cm (2 battery) did blink. The 12 cm non blinking work the best for my purposes.

Some of the answers to the questions on this product are incorrect. This product IS NOT water activated. You turn it off or on by twisting both ends of the unit. This product also DOES NOT produce a flashing light. Instead the light is steady on. I tried each of the units I got for four or five minutes each under water and never once saw a flash. Beyond the question and answer section this looks like it will be a good product even if it is a little heavy. But hey I’ll be able to cast further that way.
