We will be repainting our back deck soon and I had ordered black plastic caps so we wouldn't have to paint them, just glue them on. But it turned out the plastic caps were not going to work as being plastic, their edges and corners were sharp... Not willing to take chances on them I reordered wood caps. They are perfect!I spray painted them black so they'll match the rails and posts when we get them painted. I also glued them to the posts after their paint dried. They look great. :-)

Cedar caps are of good quality and took stain well. They fit perfectly on 4x4 posts and look great.

I had to outwit the pesky raccoons who not only were stealing the birds' feed but were also bending the metal mount poles. So, I fabricated a 4x4 treated timber with a 2' anchor auger mounted at bottom and then a 4' metal baffle, the top of which is about 8" below the feeder bottom. The two feeders are hung on metal hangars screwed onto opposite sides of the pole. The top of the 4x4 appeared to be a bit crude so I found this cap which made the whole apparatus more appealing. Being just outside my bedroom window, I now enjoy hours of watching the many varieties of birds interacting and eating birdseeds!

It seemed the quality was good. However, the size was wrong described and I had to return it. Description indicated 6x6" but it was 4x4". Still have not received my refund yet.

Overall good product. There was a slight issue with one of the 4 caps I ordered. The seam where the top is glued to the base had a minor separation which left a small gap on one side. I chose to use it anyway. Too much hassle to return for such a minor flaw.

I ordered 4 of these post caps for a cedar garden fence. They look great. However, one of the post caps is cracking at all four seams after fitting to the post. I probably should've returned it, but instead I put it in on a corner post where you have to look very closely to see the defect.
