My older Brother had tried to teach me how to play a 6 String but my pinky finger just doesn't listen to my brain. So I decided to try a bass guitar. I have the saying that pink is the new black, So I bought the pink version. But where i displayed it was in front of the window and apparently I blind to noticing that it was fading So mine is now flamingo pink. Anyway , I slowly lowered the bridge settings. My fingers are weak for playing a bass. But it is Fun to Tinker around trying to play songs that come on the radio. I have no idea of chords for bass, nor do I know anybody that could teach me however it is pretty fun to just do that when it's a rainy day. I just wish they would have said which strings came on it because I Broke the top string trying to stretch it, ( I thought I could have made it easier on my fingers if I got it a little More flexible). Now had to buy a new set of strings because i can't just replace the top one without knowing What guage it came with. Kind of sucks. I did like how it played the way I got it. But now i've been Wasting money on different brands and thicknesses of strings Because I have No idea what the originals were. I got used to how I had it. And now it is a whole new learning curve. Don't use the pink DA regular light gauge. Because I can tell you so far, Not what gauge it originally came with. I just received the medium gauge and a different version of the Ernie Ball brand so I would say I'd keep you posted. Either way, this guitar plays really cool if you want to do slap bass or just finger plucking. But I can tell you that the light gauge will not be good for slap bass, Unless you have light little hands. Anyway this guitar plays awesome. I like how it played just the way I had gotten it. But keep it away from sunny windows, Because it won't be hot pink anymore.

I wouldn’t buy from this seller as they don’t take responsibility for their guitar arriving broken/ defective. You are told by Amazon to contact the seller as it’s a third party seller and the Dean costumes tells you the responsibility is on Amazon. It’s not a good quality product. I would not recommend.

Just got this for Christmas back in 2021 and I loved itttt! It has a great sound but did not come with any accessories or extra strings or case. It’s great for beginners but plan to buy all accessories in advance. Luckily I didn’t have to worry about that because I got a pretty swaggy electric that I can borrow accessories from (besides the strings and case). The guitar is pretty big, about 3/4 of my height (5’1), so it’s kinda giant… Great purchase though and I plan to get the lime green base soon!

I thought this thing sounded pretty OK out of the box. Good tone and sustain. After upgrading the pickups to Duncan Seymour Quarter Pounders and the stings to cobalt Slinkys, it sounds GREAT. Lots of bite and grit, but full and clean at the same time. Also had the electrical tuned up as there was a slightly loose connection. Anyway, bought it for the look (got the pink one), of course, but after upgrading it checks all the boxes. Also stays in tune FOREVER. I love this bass.

I was blown away by this super cute bass. it was in tune out of the shipping container in the winter!! it has small issues as expected with new guitar... knobs n screws that need to be tightened... but overall Great bang for the buck.

I am loving this pretty guitar! I am lead singer in a function band Catch 22, we perform up and down the country. I play 7 songs in the set on bass guitar. Since using this guitar I have had so many comments about how bright and pretty it is! It plays well and sounds nice through the EV PA that we use. I did lower the pick ups slightly. Great first bass guitar

VERY amateur bass player, and do it just as a hobby, so didn't want to spend a lot for my bass guitar. Going into the purchase knowing full well "you get what you pay for" I am extremely pleased with how easily it plays. I had been playing on an equally priced starter Ibanez, and the Dean felt a lot more comfortable/easy to play in comparison, lot less finger fatigue.I did replace the stock stings with some Black Beauty strings, so that likely helped as well with the ease of playing, (and a pink guitar with black stings just looks really awesome!) but the Dean overall did feel more comfortable even before the string swap.I've had mine for over a year now and still love playing it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive starter bass.About the only minor downside I have with it, is the location of the amp plug. If you're sitting down to play at all, your right leg will bump into the amp plug. Not so much a problem verses just something I notice if I sit down.

Ok so, I was torn between the Green bass and the pink . I decided the pink was worth a shot, despite the fact that there was only one review for it, and that review wasn't very good. Well I've only been playing for three years, but I like it. The tone is a bit more funky for my taste but great to introduce yourself to slap techniques with, IMO. The action is a LITTLE higher than my other basses, but barely. You might be able to fit a dime, or a penny near the body. I digress, I'm very happy with the sound this beast produces. Also the color is VERY bright, which I was happy with. Now, the back of the neck is my only real complaint, but that's because I'm used to glossed necks. Just run a cloth against the back of the neck a few times to get rid of any unwanted roughness. I just played a lot and the neck was smoother and easier to transition. It comes with nice strings, the tuning knobs are easy. and it stays in tune. I would buy again and I'm glad I added this to my collection.
