I bought a 06 F-250 6.0L powerstroke that had a rebuilt alt. It seemed to struggle to stay up with charging two batteries and running accesories. This gives a 25A boost over OEM spec alt. I like it cause I don't have to upgrade the oem wiring.

Installed on 2006 F250 Diesel. Took me all of 18 minutes and most of that time was retrieving tools. Alternator is a direct fit, all plugs and cables attach exactly like the OEM part. Mine came with computer printout, rated 135amp, Max output under full load 159 amps and Ripple current @ 2500rpm was 31 amps. Install was super easy with help of ratchet type tie down strap (anchored on shop wall stud) to help stretch the serpentine belt so I could reach down and engage the kick stand on the tensioner. I could not move the tensioner far enough with my strength alone so I improvised. Just find an anchor point (tree or wall, etc) and attach one end of strap to it about 5 feet high on passenger side and hook the other end to the belt between tensioner and alternator pulley. Ratchet slowly to stretch belt outward toward fender until you can engage the kickstand. Runs quiet for now. Testing with clip around fluke, I'm getting 4.3 amps output to one battery and 4.4 amps to other battery at idle. Price was good, packaging great and delivered next day so I'm pretty pleased at this point. Will report back if I have any problems but I am not expecting any as this looks to be very well made. I had some work done on my truck recently and while in the shop my truck was getting hard to start and was told my batteries and alternator needed to be replaced. I agreed and they replaced everything with OEM Ford parts. Needless to say, I was noticing that my X4 was only showing 12.6-12.8 volts out of my brand new Ford alternator. I made the decision to try this alternator as I did not want to burn up my FICM and possibly destroy 8 expensive injectors in the process. I installed this DB alternator on my truck and I am very happy with the results. Voltage is consistently at 13.8-14.2 volts so at a minimum 1 volt higher than a new Ford alternator.
