Dasco Pro 530 is a good center punch for the price. Good punch for light use and compact size (1/4"x4") works well to have in your pocket. The picture is not the actual product (picture is the "Dasco Pro 534, 1/2 inch"). Out of the package, the point seemed to be hand ground with a flat side on the tapered point which made an odd punch mark on metal but was easily corrected with a file. Probably not suited for daily metal work but good for woodworking or light metal use.

Nice center punch for metal work. I have a several that I use and this one works nicely. The finish won't stay on it after heavy use but hey, its a center punch. It's not supposed to win a beauty contest.

This is a great center punch, good quality and leaves a good mark. I've always had great luck with Dasco tools, they are good quality and reliable.

It's fine, does the job. For the small price difference I would go with the Starrett if I could do it over.
