Great reeds but a bit different then I remember. Softer in the medium strength and seam to have less full body dark sound underneath as I remember. Now they sound a lot like java green and rigotti gold. I liked them though.

I'm a full-time professional alto saxophone player. I play traditional jazz and House with DJs. Medium La Voz reeds with Meyer 8m mouthpiece give me a beautiful sound.

My daughter is in marching band and one box will last a year. A box a year allows her to have spares and usually lasts through concert season too. They always arrive in great shape and aren't old ones just stocked in a warehouse somewhere..I highly recommend them

This is the second time we have purchased these reeds for my daughters saxaphone and they work perfect. Great price compared to the local music store and they all come in their own little plastic case! Will buy more as needed.

After trying several brands of reeds I found LaVaz. These are great reeds, and the only brand I now use. I was a little concerned about shipping reeds via UPS, since they could easily be damaged; however, there was no issue with the shipment. The reeds arrived in perfect condition. I will order these from Amazon again.

I'd never claim to be a great saxophonist with amazing amounts of know-how. I just like to play in a couple of community jazz bands and have a good time. So, from my rather unqualified standpoint I will say that these LaVoz mediums have been my favorite since high school. I've played regular old VanDoren's in 3's and 3 and a halfs and just didn't like the sound that they gave me (perhaps too classical?). Rico Royals in 3's have been tried as well, and while I liked them, I'd still take a LaVoz medium. I played a Selmer C* for the longest time and am currently using a VanDoren A55 Jumbo mouthpiece. The VanDoren especially seems to enjoy softer reeds like the LaVozs (I can't make a good sound on it otherwise).
