I got this mouthpiece as I needed one with better projection for marching season. It worked very well for marching season, but for concert season I went back to my main mouthpiece as it worked better. Would recommend for marching band.

Great MP for the tenor player looking for that fat, rock n roll sound. Love it

This mouthpiece, at this price, really makes you wonder why any one would consider shelling out $300+ for a mouthpiece. While I would concede that such mouthpieces are better (in some ways!) are they 10 TIMES BETTER? This mouthpiece does what a mouthpiece should do: gets the sound I want, the control I want, the intonation I want. I went with an M9 model. I don't have problems with controlling it. (However, I grew up on a Selmer E mouthpiece with 4 (or 5 if I could find them) reeds.) This gives a good chops workout with a 2.5-3 reed - and all the volume you could ever want. Ok, all the volume you could ever want in an acoustic setting. If you need more, get a microphone!

Veramente fantastico come bocchino alternativo.

If you are playing rock or funk, this mouthpiece is more than adequate. I like to peel the paint when playing that genre of music and this fits the bill. I don't think I would use it in a combo or in a big band setting, perhaps the M5 version would suffice. This is great mouthpiece that everyone should have as a backup or as a go to because of its price and the quality of sound it produces. This is not for a by any means.

I am using this as a professional mouthpiece. I have been told by those that hire me they like my sound. My range is two octaves higher than the high Eb. I have tried expensive mouthpieces and they are excellent but since I am not as rich as some people I can't afford $300.00-$700.00 for a mouthpiece and since I have been playing this Rico I have lost all motivation to put the money aside for something that can be lost and is devastatingly hard to recover all because I got use to playing something expensive. Eventually the musician is not just the customer but someone who has to pay dues to get where they are. I follow the k.i.s. method when I practice and get use to the same mouthpiece, and the same horn. It makes things easier for me and my response is quicker because of familiarity.

I mostly try for a Dark Stan-Getz sound, so my principal piece is a re-faced SaxScape Fat Cat with the baffle removed. But when I get called for a blues or fink gig, I pop this sucker on my Buescher Top hat and Cane and scream above the guitars. This is NOT a SUBTLE mouthpiece, but sometimes subtlety is lost. WAY cheaper than a Dukoff, and just as much fun.

This mouthpiece works fine for rock/funk/r & b. Edgy and bright, it's also cheap. Use it with a junk horn (like my beater Yamaha 23 tenor) for outdoor, drunken party, and honky tonk gigs. The larger tip opening allows for a softer reed if you want to play low notes as well.
