高校生吹奏楽部活用。いつもは某青箱を使用。アルトはこちらのブランドを使用していたためソプラノも合わせて購入しました。安定して使いやすい『当たり』だったようです。

They're pretty good. I did I wanted them to be better than the Boston Sax Shop reeds that I usually buy, but I really don't think any brand will/can come close to the quality of their reeds. Maybe I'll give them another shot at some point, but for now I will stick with my usual. I will try to come back to this product in the future with a different mindset, but for now, they will not be my go to. It is nice that they're organic, since all reeds are made from wood, so it's nice to know that it is quality material, but they will not be my new standard

Organic reeds with packaging that's much more environmentally friendly than most? I'm all in. But, man, these were a tough go and really didn't do it for me. Based on other comments having to do with their hardness, I ordered a 3 rather than my preferred 3.5. Unfortunately, I received the latter. I tried 3 of them, and even with resurfacing, they were unyielding. Part of the issue could be that they are "filed" reeds. (As an unrepentant autodidact who has little interest in the technical ins-and-outs of such things, I don't know what that means [and haven't yet Googled it]). But the difficulty I had would seem to indicate a deeper issue; "seem" being the operative word. Perhaps I'd have a better experience with 2.5, and might give that a go at some point. Bottom line, my rating is balances the concept with the realization.

As someone who plans to donate the D'Addario Reserve Sax First & Only Organic 2.5 Strength, 10 Pack Soprano Saxophone Reeds to their child's school for the music band, I am excited to share my thoughts on this product. One of the most appealing aspects of these reeds, as a parent, is their organic nature. It's wonderful to know that the reeds I am donating are environmentally conscious, making them a responsible choice for the school's music program. Not only will they benefit the young musicians, but they also align with the values of sustainability and eco-friendliness that are increasingly important in today's world.Considering that these reeds are of 2.5 strength, I believe they will be suitable for the young saxophonists in the school band. This strength strikes a good balance between responsiveness and resistance, which is essential for beginners to develop proper embouchure and tone production.I am also pleased with the fact that the reeds come in a pack of 10. This generous quantity ensures that the music program will have a steady supply of reeds for their soprano saxophonists, allowing the students to focus on practicing and performing without worrying about running out of reeds frequently.Furthermore, D'Addario is a well-established and reputable brand in the music industry, known for producing high-quality products. I am confident that the Reserve Sax First & Only Organic Reeds will deliver consistent performance, making them a reliable addition to the school's music supplies.By donating these reeds to the music band, I hope to contribute to the students' musical education and encourage their passion for music. It's heartwarming to know that my contribution can play a part in nurturing young talent and enriching their musical journey.I am excited to see how these reeds will benefit the young musicians at the school and how their musical abilities will flourish with the support of quality equipment. It's a small gesture, but one that I hope will have a positive impact on the student's musical experiences and inspire them to explore the world of music with enthusiasm and dedication.

D'Addario Organic Reserve Soprano Saxophone ReedsPresentation:D’Addario is a major reed distributor, and these are packaged and presented as such. The reeds are in individual cardboard sleeves and overall sealed in plastic wrapping.Reed Appearance and Condition:Overall cut, filing and condition of reeds are great, and as to be expected from a major reed distributor.Playability:I normally play a Vandoren Traditional 2.5 on Soprano Sax and the Organic Reserve Reeds 2.5 were just right. The reeds responded magically from the Bottom to the Altissimo range, with good attack, nice crisp tone, and even response. Conclusion:Reeds are very subjective, some require a little work and preparation to bring them to perfection, and then you have some brands that work magical right away with your sax setup. The Organic Reserve reeds worked magically for my setup on Soprano Sax.

Got these for my husband who plays alto, tenor, soprano, and baritone sax. Before getting these organic soprano reeds he typically used Vanduran Blues. With these he said he didn't notice any difference in playability or feel between these D'Addario Organics and the nonorganics. But he estimates that the reed strength is about 0.5 less than Vanduren Blues.

The reeds were packaged very well and with organic material in mind. I think they feel a little stiffer than their rating. They play very well but not outstanding enough to make me want to switch. I did notice they began to breakdown a little after a week of playing. I think I'll stick to my usual reeds for now.

I like what these reeds stand for, first and foremost - no pesticides or odd chemicals in the reed plant. It's not something you normally think of, but these are things that you put in your mouth. As reeds, they're solid enough. They were very function, cut to the quality of name brand reeds, good for general purpose. I've been playing saxophone for nearly 40 years and they didn't distinguish themselves as particularly more suited for jazz or classical. From a "strength" standpoint, I'd say they feel they're a little harder than a standard Rico of the same measure, but that's a rough estimate. If you're health and environmentally conscious, these might be reeds for you to try out.
