This not one solid rod, its threaded together. It broke where it threaded together after one gig.

I read about the three pieces coming apart, so I reckoned I could Loc-tite them together so they wouldn't. But then that would require actually being able to screw the pieces together, which is impossible when ALL OF THE THREADS ARE STRIPPED! The inside of the knurled end literally peeled the threads off the rod when I screwed it on. So, yeah, it's garbage. Don't buy.

WHO would imagine that this ARM arrives in 3-pieces that you have to screw together!!? COME ON!! This is not a feature.....This wasdone so it could be shipped from China in a smaller package. You WILL need loctite if you don't want this thing coming unscrewed onstage. 3-pieces...yes.....its not a SOLID double L. .......its a 3-piece ARM that must be screwed screwed together to make the double L shape. I was absolutely underwhelmend when I opened the package. What should. have been a solid piece of metal...I NOW have to worry if its going to come unscrewed. Meh. Tired of wonky overseas products.

3 pieces screw together to make whole part, and easily come unscrewed. I may try to solder or glue for stable use, disappointed.

I ordered this as a last minute need for a marching gig over the weekend. I lent my good one to a friend who is on tour and figured I would order this and see how well it would work.It holds up well if you are stationary; I played snare getting ready for the parade stationary and everything seemed to work just fine, it didn’t un-screw, everything sat perfectly, etc. I played for a few hours and nothing came loose.The down side of this being as it comes in three metal pieces to make the “Z” shape is that while I was marching down the street with it, the cymbal side un-screwed twice; I caught it the first time but the second time a person watching the parade ran out to grab it for me and screwed it back on. When I use this for marching, I'm going to have to tape the three metal pieces together to ensure that it will not come un-screwed while marching again.So, my recommendation if you are looking to get this, it’s a good cheap alternative. If you are going to use it for marching, be aware that it WILL come un-screwed several times; tape will be needed to prevent this.
