It’s ok for lite or average practice use but I would like to see something heavier duty for an everyday workhorse.

We were looking for a Morse code sender, a stand-alone device that would generate Morse code sounds, for our 11-year-old granddaughter who has been learning Morse code for fun. This device, although apparently good quality, evidently required some other equipment that we don't have. It was a straight key, which was preferable to paddle configuration, but in the end, we found another solution for her. Basically, the device doesn't make sounds on its own. Going back to read the website, I'm not completely sure I understood that until I had it in my hands. (Mostly my own fault for not being terribly experienced, despite a Novice class license.)

It beeps like it should, and the key itself seems to be fairly good. I just wish it had a pitch that we American Hams were accustomed to. Our radios tend to have a 700 to 800hz side-tone. This thing squeals at way over 1200hz.
