I was happy to find this wrench at Amazon. We had tried taking it off the water meter top with a regular wrench, but it slipped a lot on the five-sided bolt. This works perfectly. The water meter top is designed to raise up as you turn the bolt and this wrench makes it much easier to achieve that result. We don't plan to access the water meter often, but we have a Flume leak detector attached to it and this allows us to access the area with little difficulty.

A five-sided bolt is commonly used on electrical equipment like pad-mount transformer doors. This wrench, by the way it is cast in heavy steel, is too bulky to fit into the latch on my transformer doors. It’s well made. I’ll keep it, for something else.
