I got these to keep my skis and poles together for traveling on the bus and gondola. They work great because they are long and flexible, they stretch around the skis and poles for a good fit.

These are basic ski straps that work well at keeping your skis in order. I only use them while my skis are in there bag for storage/transit and not on the mountain. They work great for this but I can't content on if they make skis any easier to carry on mountain. Personally I don't think it's worth having them stuffed in your pocket all day just to help carry your skis to/from the car.
