As a mechanic, I've got piles of tools, but I like it when I don't need to bring piles of tools to every shed we do work in so I brought in this drill. The drill has a good feel in my hand and comes with a 20V battery that is charged by a power brick-style charger. I had to bring the drill and battery outside into the sunlight for my aging eyes to spot the port on the battery to plug in the power brick (see photo). The power brick has an LED tell-tale light on it: red for charging, and green for charged. The drill itself is reversible with a variable speed trigger. Under no load, the two-speed switch on top of the drill seemingly does little to nothing to change the speed, but under a load, the drill definitely has two different speeds. The drill comes with some basic drill bits as well as screwdriver bits. Using my own drill bit the drill was able to drill through 1/4" thick mild steel without any drama.

If you're a casual power tool user, this item can save you heaps of money. However, don't consider it if you're a professional or frequent handyman. I purchased a cordless drill a few years ago for about three times the list price of this product. It delivers much higher quality, but I only use a drill about twice a month on average. I got this for my son so he doesn't need to borrow mine, and I find it a great starter set. It includes a set of drill bits, not high-quality ones, but still, this saves another $6-10 in the short term. There's also a flex cable for 90° rotation. Again, it's not perfect- you'll still have to hold the end in place for it to work- but it's a handy item.Of course, you can expect some negatives with such a budget item. The poorly translated manual is incomprehensible at times, with head-scratching phrases like, "the unit using the machine must have full-time personnel for regular inspection," "do not let sundries enter the connecter of rechargeable battery," "making the battery Swim Short will cause large current," and "do not use Battery littering." In addition, I could find no mention of how to recharge the battery, and I spent about 10 minutes searching before I found the charging port hidden underneath the top plate of the battery pack. I've illustrated where to plug it in a photograph. Also, the charger apparently does not have overload protection, at least if I understand the manual correctly.Yes, you get what you pay for, but if you want to have a drill around but don't plan on using one extensively, grab this and reap in some savings.

The instructions are incoherent and for multiple devices. I’m not sure where to even begin. The value for the money is bad considering I can’t use it. The weight is a few pounds. I don’t know what the battery life is but apparently according to the instructions you cannot charge it more than 1 hour at a time. I have no idea if it’s durable, I can’t figure out how to add any of the attachments, it’s not in the instructions. I’ll add these so everyone can understand. These are the front, the back is not devices I didn’t buy and don’t own.

Quality is on the lower side, but this is definitely a budget device intended for casual use and not something contractor grade. Worked well to remove a few screws from the walls left by previous inhabitants, as well as hanging a picture. I have not tried the longer, more intensive bits but they seem like they're okay quality- not bulletproof, but not super flimsy either.Battery will get you through several casual uses but don't plan to use this all day for an intensive construction project. The battery is weak and takes a while to charge but for about 25 dollars USD at the time of this listing it's still a good bargain for a basic drill. This would be ideal for a college student or someone living on their own for a while. Get a cheap tool and if you use it enough that it break, then you know that it's worth your time to pay for the more expensive tool. I've used this mindset for many things (wrenches, pliers, hammers, etc) and it's helped me save money.Pick up this drill if you don't already have one. If you're looking to do serious remodeling, carpentry, etc then this will be underpowered, but for the rest of us who want to assemble flat-pack furniture and hang curtain rods this is more than enough.
