Originally I ordered a medium, but it felt like a large. I down sized to a small and it fits like a shmedium. The hood is really big, but it's perfect if you intend to wear a hat underneath. The material feels like good quality, but I haven't washed it yet. I'm sure it will hold up nicely with hang drying only.

I got this because I suck at wearing sunscreen and don’t want to put the toxic chemicals on my skin if I can help it. Specifically for long motorcycle trips in mind (I tend to get my arms, face, and neck burned) and have been trying it out before my next trip. I’ve spent all day on the beach on the west coast with it in July, yard work at 95° on the East coast with high humidity, smaller rides around town in the mid to upper 90°’s, and generally times where I’m trying to avoid sunscreen. I will say it’s slightly warmer than not having a shirt on at all but if there is a breeze you can’t notice because it blows right through the shirt and cools you down. As far as sun protection, I find it to be superior than wearing sunscreen. No need to reapply, an higher protection level with none of the risk of sunscreen at that level, and works like a champ.The only downside I can give this method is it is a touch warmer than not wearing it. The way I figure, at 95° I’m gonna be hot either way, this keeps me safer from the sun (in terms of being burned and not having to put the toxic chemicals of sunscreen on me repeatedly), and it’s not unbearably worse than not wearing it especially with any natural breeze or wind. Definitely recommend if you suck at putting on sunscreen, at reapplying sunscreen, or just don’t want to use sunscreen out of convenience or health concerns.

there’s a benefit in this shirt to have a hoodie and a face mask and the top portion of your body be covered from the sun all in one shirt. It fits great.

Al tacto es fresca y suave, mantiene buena temperatura aún bajo el rayo del sol, dice tener protección 50fps aunque no sé si sea cierto pero confío que si. Pedí una talla más de la que uso normalmente porque quería que me quedara holgada y así fue, la guía de tallas me funcionó perfecto. El diseño de la tela me gustó mucho y el color, al rayo del sol, deja de ser negro o gris oscuro y se ve azul marino intenso. Trae una bolsita lateral donde cabe un cel pequeño a mediano, no cabe iPhone 14 por ejemplo. Aspecto que no me gustó mucho es que lacapucha es bastante grande y no hay manera de ajustarla como en algunas sudaderas que traen agujetas entonces con un viento medio o al trotar se va moviendo y se llega a volar y queda destapada la cabeza y hay que estar acomodando.

I bought this hoodie to wear when doing outdoor activities in the summer. I am at high risk for skin cancer and have been told by my dermatologist to cover up. This hoodie has a generous sized hood for coverage when wearing over a baseball cap and is lightweight for warm weather. I wish the sleeves were an inch or so longer, so that using thumb slits would be more comfortable. When using the thumb slits, the sleeves are pulled tight and they cause pressure between my thumb and fingers - kinda like a "hand wedgie". I'm 5'10" and wear a 33" sleeve in dress shirt size. The hoodie size is L and fits well, otherwise. The face mask is an added bonus for fishing, as UV reflects off the water and can cause exposure from below. Overall, I like this hoodie and recommend it!

A bit long, but the blue pattern looks nice, dries very quickly, and cooling when wet, not so much when dry though. So if you're baking in the sun, take the plunge, douse it. No signs of sunburn after 5-6 hrs on a river. Definitely recommend it. The attached buff is a bit warm, doesn't vent very well, and the hood would just about cover 2 heads, poorly designed as it covers my eyes when I don't wear a hat w/a visor.

Good but some things to be aware of. The material is 100% polyester, thicker and less elastic than found in mix with spandex. The stiching is straight and accurate with durable thick seams. This makes it more durable but also not as soft and light if worn directly without sublayers. Which is why it probably works better as a fishing shirt than a beach type rash guard. As for the beach wear, there are thinner, softer and lighter shirts that I liked better (all spandex added to the mix). Also, the sleeves are normal length but too short for the thumb holes to be really useful in my case.After wearing it for some time I think lighter spf hoodies without gaiter + separate spf gaiter when needed work better than the ones with gaiter attached at all times. The hoodies with attached gaiter will be less breathable when gaiter is not needed.All in all not a deal breaker, but I won't buy another one.

My absolute favorite manufacturer of sun hoodies has always been AFTCO, but this lower priced option may take that title ($25 vs $40). Fits GREAT (XL, 5'11" 210#), and weighs only 35 grams more than my AFTCO Samurai Hoodies. However, this shirt includes a built in gaiter, so the weights are essentially equal. Breathes very well, and best of all the hood is cut just like the AFTCO....oversized! It fits perfectly over the brim of a ball cap so it doesn't blow off in the wind. The thumb holes are a welcome addition with the fabric covering my hands to the knuckles. The built in gaiter isn't tight but fits snugly enough to prevent it from slipping and also doesn't restrict my breathing. The pocket on the right side is a welcome bonus and is the perfect size to fit a large phone (iPhone 13 Pro Max) in a Lifeproof case.
