Purchased for my husbands fencing project. Made a point to purchase Cooper brand to replace a worn in pair he has a likes. Another exact same pair purchased at a local hardware store is still functional, the Amazon purchase broke after two weeks. Maybe not truly Cooper brand?

An older Diamond Fence Tool I've had for years lines up the cutters when you full open the handles, and I was hoping this one would as well. But like most brands now, you have to look at the tool to align the grooves to cut the wire. Somewhere over the years, these all started being designed by people who haven't strung much wire and come up a hand short!

Not a bad pair of fence pliers. They have changed the design of the pliers since the last pair I had but with a little grinding they are as good as the old version. The center jaws are thick and did not work very well for pulling staples until I ground them down to a thinner jaw.
