While a fowlr tank is more resilient, if you got a reef with coral you likely need to be a bit more precise. Good, easy to use NSTM certified probe.

The product is fine but the certificate that comes witht he product is almost a year old, I got it in 01/2021 andthe certificate is form 04/2020. I would not have bought it if I knew I did not have much time on the certificate.Most of the time you have 2 years.

I found this is a great tool for home brewing. During the wort chill, it is a great length to measure temperatures in the middle of the pot. Do be careful not to let the bulb into liquid. There are seals, but if it gets submerged it may short out for a while. I had that happen to me, and while the unit came back to life, it was hours after I needed it.
