Out of the box and used one time so far. Seems to work fine and is easy to read.

I’m giving it 3 stars as I’ve been comparing it to a hospital grade oximeter and it is giving comparable readings. This is a knock off product however and not what you think you are buying - I specifically paid for a more expensive oximeter after researching concord brand. Probably could have saved some $$ and got a cheaper one seeing that was a lie.Branding on oximeter is ChoiceMMed and the underside information panel states is from Beijing Choice Electronics.

this was my 2nd Concord oxy meter device purchase. I"m dealing with a severe case of AML, and I have endured 8 brutal chemo inductions, with 4 being of the Hi-Dac High Dosage with 60% deadlier poision! I first purchased the Basic Concord oxy meter, simple, 1 year warranty, manage to lose it some where between my home and the Mayo clinic Jax, Fl?? so I just recently purchased the upgrade Concord oxy meter, believe it's the Sapphire model, with a 2 year warranty. Simple, basic functions, 2 ways of reading the info/read out. and the 2 Concord units I've own are excellent and accurate to the Mayo in the wall expensive oxy meters that clip on your index finger with a clip. Excellent customer service info and feedback, super great price point using amazon prime membership. fast s/h and so far, not a single issue with either of the Concord model oxy meters. Figure I"ll some day find all of the things I have managed to lose since my aml was diagnosed in early March, but that's OK

Works exceptionally well for what I use it for. Easy to use, straightforward display, and very quick and accurate reading. I got it to add to my collection of medical instruments, and just in case I ever need to monitor someone's heart rate. I use it maybe once a week, so I haven't subjected it to heavy usage, but it has held up well for me. I'm thinking of getting another one for a snakebite kit. It's definitely worth what I paid for it; I've seen oximeters very similar to this one that don't even have all the accessories priced at $42. This one was just over $12. If you want a reliable, affordable way to measure O2 and heart rate, for regular use, for a disaster/ first aid kit, or just because you want to have one on hand, this is the way to go.

I am a RN. I work with patients who are in constant need of pulse oximetry monitoring. I first bought a cheap one thinking it would suffice and it turned out to be a huge dissapointment. Don't waste your time buying cheaper versions. This is definitely the best. High quality, accurate and fast results. It has a sleek design, lightweight, and I like the background light. I am very satisfied with it.There are only a couple of things that I don't like about it. First, it didn't come with a protective case and secondly, it is somewhat difficult to get the pts finger inside. You have to manually pry it open with two hands instead of having a spring to use with one hand. Other than that it works very well and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I Highly recommend this product to any and all nurses. If you are administering any kind of opioids or caring for operative patients..it is a must.It was shipped fast, arrived intact and properly packaged. Thank you.

I purchased this unit for an unusual purpose. I wanted to find out if it could be used for what I call "optimal breathing training" - really my own invention. It is very simple to do, you hold exertion constant, like at your desk or on a treadmill, and then breath - usually slower - to find the breathing rate at which your pulse rate is lowest. I believe that this is also where you have the right amount of needed CO2 in your system to facilitate circulation and oxygen transport. Breathing too much washes out too much CO2 so finding this point takes the help from a heart rate meter. The oximeter portion helps with this since it takes considerable time and concentration to quite one's breathing enough to lower the SpO2 reading one point. As well, when you find the point where say, at your desk or on the treadmill at a given speed and incline - the pulse rate is lowest - and then note the oximetery SpO2 number it makes it a kind of reference for the future of when you are getting close and which way to go with your breathing rate/volume. It tends to change a bit with exertion - lower with less exertion. For my original purpose the meter works great. It is a bit insensitive to lower SpO2 levels with a brand new set of batteries. I was able to overcome this by putting the unit on my thumb for the first hour. The lanyard and belt case are great! I looped the lanyard to the little D ring on the top of the belt case so the unit never is far from my belt or the case once put on. It is very useful to have the unit very available most of the time. It took me over half a century to establish the breathing reflexes I now use, it will take me a long time of training (years I think) to learn to breath optimally.Where I live now we have hills which is great for interval training. However, I am shy to do this without a heart rate monitor. Well now I have one strapped to my belt most of the time. It is so much better to have a heart rate monitor I can grab from a belt case rather than try to whip out and dawn a chest strap!! Way easier and more convenient. A great and wonderful plus for me!!!Even with the battery glitch and the fact that the outside case tends to slip off the meter sometimes I gotta give the little wonder the full five. Simply I got much more than I expected for the price.
