Product Description

CSA, COMPLETE STRUTS, FRONT PAIR
INSTALL

READY TO INSTALL RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!

When you order a front pair of complete strut assemblies, you take the hassle out of rebuilding your old struts and ensure all components are new. These fully assembled strut assemblies, with all new parts, ensure you have eliminated the possibility of faulty or compromised components, such as springs, mounts, bearings and/or isolators going back on your suspension.

Our ready to install complete struts and coil springs assembly make this suspension repair job much quicker and more affordable for the average DIYer or mechanic.

It is always recommended to have a thorough inspection done to insure any compromised components like worn control arm bushings or ball joints that may give you alignment issues and unwanted rattle noise and vibrations.

Lastly, since you are installing new struts, it's important to know that an alignment will be needed to make sure your suspension is set back to factory configuration.

Struts looked good on arrival, easy to install then had professional alignment. Roughly 15 months later, hear loud clunking noise on slow turns. Mechanic shop tells me strut has failed!

After installing this strut I heard a rattle in the front right. After checking all the bolts, the rattle was still there. I took the strut off and noticed that the top nut had not been fully tightened from the factory. I tightened this, which secured the cap at the top of the spring, and the rattle went away. After this adjustment it has worked well.

Ordered these to replace tired and leaking factory units on my 2003 honda pilot. Great fit and easy install with basic hand tools . Make sure the orientation is the same when you're putting the new unit in ( I marked the top stud before uninstall to do this ) 2-3 hrs from start to finish and very happy with ride quality now.

Installed these struts on my Pilot a few weeks ago and had no problems so far. The hardest part was getting the old ones out due to some rusted bolts. Installing these new struts was very easy. It is a much better drive now, more stable and less "swimming" around corners or driving over bumps/dips. These struts seem to be pretty good quality. I will buy this brand again next time I need to replace struts on any of my cars.

These are very simple to install as they are already put together with new top nuts in case you strip the old ones coming out. All supplied nuts and bolts are Grade 8. You may need to literally cut out the sway bar links, so my advice is to get new ones at the dealer (they are better and easier to use than aftermarket or other suppliers like AC Delco). I was able to install a pair of these in under 90 minutes and a strut/spring compressor tool is not required, but the car requires alignment after completion. I did this several weeks later without issue. That being said these strut assemblies have their downside. The ride quality is not as good as original, and the spring itself seems to limit downward travel. If you travel at highway speeds and hit a pothole, expect the wheel to come down hard but not all the way to the pavement and you will get a loud thud. For this I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. The rest of its handling characteristics are fairly OEM at best but never exceeding it. If you can swing for the KYB Excel-G, do it but remember you'll have alot more work ahead of you rebuilding the assembly. For the cost I think these are great since for one price you're getting struts, springs, strut mounts, mounting hardware and strut bellows. You'd pay almost the same for these parts separately, and then have to put it all together yourself.Follow up after 30 months of use. At 18 months the strut mounts on the tops of both sides started to break apart causing an uneven seat for the mating surface between the mounting plate and the strut towers. Now there are many noises coming from the front suspension. This was after an exhaustive search causing me to replace the sway bar mounts, end links, inner & outer tie rods, lower control arms, and the front stabilizer bar links. Transmission mount, 2 motor mounts, and turned out it was the one thing new on the car that just so happened to fail. In the end I regret using a quick strut assembly because I now no longer have the factory Honda parts I removed. I had all the parts to compress the spring, but was afraid of that part of the process since it can be dangerous ... I've done it many times before. If you need new struts, keep your Honda springs, buy new mount seats for the top and buy a KYB Gas-A-Just instead. It will cost the same in parts, but of course take a lot longer to put together. I'm lowering my rating from a 4 to a 2.

I put these on my 2003 Acura MDX. They fit and ride really well. No complaints. I have 230K miles so this has been the 3rd set of struts that I've experienced on this vehicle. This set is the best ones yet. Good quality for the money and easy to install. I recommend if you're going to change out the set, you might as well change the CV axles while you're in there. It will contribute to a smoother ride as well; however, only use Honda Axles, not aftermarket; the weight/length needs to be exact otherwise your steering wheel will shift a little when you accelerate.
