I realize that this is a "budget" foil, however that does NOT mean worthlessly cheap! Within a day of owning it I fenced with it, and the blade bent and now has a very dangerous "s" curve in it(bent with my very first attack in the bout! A simple lunge as well! Nothing too overly extravagant or advanced) Anyone who has been fencing long enough knows that "s" curves lead to a broken blade. I am afraid of using in fear that my blade will snap in mid bout. This just means that both the steel used in making this product is cheap and the tempering process is rushed. This equates to a horribly cheap and ultimately useless foil. To any level of fencers looking at this product, move on. I have been fencing for four years, and I needed a new practice foil. Thinking this would be a relatively cost effective I bought this. Do not make my mistake, the quality is an absolute joke, I highly suggest you spend a little extra money, buy a good quality foil and save money in the long run. Good luck in your search for a different foil, and keep on fencing!

I bought this foil for use in my fencing class and have been completely disappointed. I should have returned it when i saw that the blade did not fit into the handle properly, but I figured, it's just a practice weapon. The problem is, the improper fitting causes the whole assembly to loosen during use. I have to stop and tighten the bolt at least once every class. I really don't recommend this product.

This was a joke. Had I been in a good mood I would have called it funny. It was an electric foil grip, well used with the plug removed, BADLY married to a used, rusty shaft (it wasn't even straight). The only new thing on it was the plastic tip. It had someone else's name on the blade and the grip was chipped and old. But it WAS blue, like the picture.
