Disclaimer - only wanted them for bag work, so take all with that in mind.Maybe they need to be broken in, maybe the XL is too big for my hands, but these felt like strapping a ruler to my knuckles. Literally one knuckle was making 90% of all contact. Leather? Hmm. Probably on the face, but I surely question it elsewhere (especially given this brands similar "use" in the pads dept).Again, definitely should improve with break-in. But, even at half-off used, I'm returning them. Plenty of options out there, so why settle. Maybe they're the best there is (short of $130 T3's). If so, I'll just use gel wraps. Again, just to beat on a bag when the mood strikes.

These gloves are not 5oz. The ones i recieved were 3.2oz. Really inconvenient because i needed these gloves for an upcoming fight. They would not meet the OSAC regulations on gloves. Returning them ASAP and going with another company.

Llevo varios años comprando guantes Combat Sports y estos me han parecido muy buenos, igual que la mayoría hechas en piel. No recomendaría que compraran hechos en vinil que aunque son más económicos la calidad deja mucho que desear pues to que es la línea económica de la marca. asegúrense de comprar todo en piel y no tendrán ningún problema. saludos.

As martial artist It was great all around fits just fine around my hands the only miner is it is quite large fits fine but I feel like it's unnecessary bulk cushion was not needed other than that at least it doesn't interfere with conditioning your knuckles it may look a little exaggerated in size atleast for me it was but you'll still be protected & be conditioning your fists safely whether it is focus pads Thai pads or heavey bag.Great quality will buy again in future

I've been using Combat Sports MMA gloves for a few years now. I do Krav Maga, so MMA gloves work far better for sparring than traditional boxing gloves, as they allow for more hand mobility for grabs and various other techniques while still providing a good amount of padding to protect the knuckles and the training partner. I got this set for my son, who is 12 and started the youth class.They are a little big on him, that's not a big deal. Room to grow since he would probably outgrow the youth version by the time he's 13. They provide the padding that I want him to have to protect his hands, which are a little more delicate that others his age (he will likely grow out of that into tougher hands). It also gives him the flexibility to practice throwing palm strikes, which is what we prefer the kids do when they defend themselves in real life (for a plethora of reasons).The difference between this set of gloves and others I've had is that there is no specific opening for the thumb. No that it's necessary, but that's just what it is. It doesn't change their functionality. You really can't go wrong with MMA gloves from Combat Sports.

I have exceptionally large hands that couldn't be forced in to a store-bought glove, mma or otherwise. To give you an idea, my wedding ring was custom made to a size 17.These gloves will only accept my hands without wraps. I find, however, that they are constructed solidly enough that they provide enough support for bag work.I haven't yet put more than a few sessions into them, but they've held up to my pulling and yanking them on with nary a thread out of place. I ordered white gloves and my bag is marring the front, but I expected that.I can't recommend them more for the price. I only wish they offered yellow in 2XL.
