Cant believe one of the pockets had a hole and also the finishing is not great. thread is coming off from the back of the jacket. I don't recommend to buy it.

Keeps you warm even when temperatures drop between 0 - 32 degrees. Coat has reflective dots which reflect heat back to your body. The coat also allows adequate ventilation so you stay warm without sweating. The lining can be removed for warmer days. The coat can be used as a raincoat. Best winter coat I own. Highly recommended.

Ok so I'll first start off with the color and size. I'm 5'11.5 and 255 lbs. I wear 2XL jackets, sweatshirts and shirts. I purchased the Black Columbia Men's Stuart Island Interchange Jacket in size XL. It fits perfect with a little room to spare. I've even worn a sweat shirt with the XL coat and it still fits great. You won't need to wear a sweat shirt under it, its extremely warm and comfortable. The OMNI-HEAT INFINITY material is very soft and warm. The OMNI-HEAT INFINITY is the latest technology Columbia has to offer and it is worth every penny. I did get this on a sale and wanted the one in blue but they were completely sold out. The outside layer is made with OMNI-TECH material and is waterproof so no worries when it rains or snows. I haven't experienced either yet with this coat but will give an update when I do. The pockets are large and their's 9 of them total. Only one that's insulated is the inside pocket that's located on the left side chest area. Thank God this coat was on sale because I couldn't have afforded the price listed and it's worth that price. The INFINITY material is gold and looks awesome, like I've got material and technology that they use in space. I will give an update as things progress. I hope this helps you. Oh and I went to a local store and tried on a 2XL and it's was way to big. I recommend you do the same. I believe all there sizes are the same no matter the coat obviously it has to be a Columbia brand. I'll take some pictures in the next couple of day to post.

I needed a new coat for a trip to the Arctic Circle and this one turned out to be great. I shopped around quite a bit online and at high-profile sporting goods stores. This coat has a liner and was almost too warm. But you can always unzip it a tad if you get toasty. I’ve had Columbia winter coats before and they’re always a great value for the cost. Definitely recommend if you need a solid cold weather coat.

I'm a lifelong Minnesotan, and when I put this jacket on for the first time, I realized that I had been doing winter all wrong. The metallic lining insulates so well it feels almost as if it's radiating its own heat.Most of the time, I'll just wear the liner, it looks just like a regular puffer jacket, but when it's really cold or wet outside, I'll put on the shell and it can handle pretty much anything the winter has to offer.The build quality is nice, everything feels high quality and sturdy. I tried a couple high end alternatives from North Face and Patagonia before I settled on this one, and it probably doesn't feel quite as indestructible as either of those, but for a third of the price, it is higher quality than it has any business being.The one knock I'd give is the fit. I'm 5'11", 170 lbs, and I could have built a small tent for myself from the large I initially ordered. I eventually settled on a small, which fits well. I'm not a small man by any means, and it seems a little odd that there would be no option for anyone smaller than me. But, if you can fill it out, it's a heck of a winter coat!

This coat incorporates Columbia's proprietary warmth-reflective technology-omni heat infinity. I believe this is a third-generation iteration beginning with heat coils, followed by omni heat dots, with this being the most current version. The basic underlying operating principle is inclusion of a reflective layer within the coat that holds and keeps body heat. In essence you are the heat generator and the coat captures and maintains it.I have used Columbia's heat reflective coats since they came on the market and this is the most effective in heat capture heretofore. It will keep you warm and comfortable. The reflective layer is as light or lighter than down and not at all bulky.. It could be removed (it zips out) but I see no reason to do so. The coat is machine-washable and to my mind quite stylish. The cost is quite reasonable--you can pay a good deal more for technical gear and not be any warmer. Lots of pockets. Good fit. Inner ties to adjust the fit. The hood detaches and does not feature omni heat (but ought to) so I have bought a separate omni heat watch cap and gloves as well. Fully recommended winter wear

Very good winter coat. The inner vest does not have a down fill ( it’s synthetic) with a golden color lining. For some that may not be preferable.
