It's heavy and dense, and doesn't pack small - if you're accustomed to a nice DOWN jacket of similar dimensions and design. BUT - it sure is a lot less expensive, and actually easy to wash, and probably more durable in general, so there ARE some advantages. It's a nice long body design, and as warm as one would expect. The hand pockets are comfy, no exterior chest pocket is a bit lame, but the open/no-zipper interior pockets are enormous, you could carry a couple of smaller text books, iPad mini, and travel umbrellas in there!

I bought this coat as a gift for my husband as he didn’t have a really good cold-weather jacket. He didn’t like the one he had because it was too chunky and bulky, and he absolutely LOVES this one! It’s light, washable, and he really likes the blue accent on the black fabric. For someone as picky as he is, this was a fantastic buy :) I HIGHLY recommend!

Nice looking jacket, but the fit is snug and it didn't have inside pockets so I returned it.
