I already had a very similar product intended for hot coffee but it could not be put in the microwave because of a metallic cable reinforced rim. This product holds slightly more in volume with the same size of rim and doesn't have the reinforcing cable rim to prevent it from going into the microwave. Therefore, I bought this specifically to steam poach eggs in a miniature rice cooker after measuring the diameters. It offered more capacity for the steamer plus I can put it in the microwave if I need to. I tested it today by poaching some eggs in the rice steamer/cooker and it worked fantastic! Does it work for everything camping related? Absolutely! But this product was also perfectly suited for me to poach eggs in a rice cooker. It makes a great insert for separating the water from the steam in a miniature rice cooker. This is going to make a huge difference in the health quality of food that I can eat at work.

I recently purchased this collapsible bowl in all available sizes, and I have to say, I’m really impressed with the quality of the material. This container is the *almost perfect solution to having your own take-out box. It folds into a disk about 3/4” x 4”, and opens to hold a healthy serving of leftovers for one. (*The lid is not liquid-tight, but perfect for almost anything but soup.) Material is silicone, so it can go right from the fridge to microwave to dishwasher. I carry one in my purse at all times, and use it often.
