I was very excited about these, but when I opened them, they were broken and incomplete. The bowl was missing clips (so the bowl could become a bowl). This is on me, of course, but I didn't realize this until I took them out camping.

Arguably the most portable serving set. easy to snap together, easy to flatten again and clean, easy to pack flat. Almost unnoticeable at only 2.8 oz.I have to admit though, I like the plate and bowl more than the cup, but I’m likely to just use it as a smaller bowl. If I’m backpacking and drinking from a cup it is likely to be hot coffee, or even hot cocoa. The material is too thin for hot liquids, maybe with gloves.It is a good value and I’m glad I ordered this set. The goofy monster caricatures will make it interesting for the kids too.

I've been looking at this style of backpacking bowl. If you're also looking for them, I think you'll be prepared for the trade-offs. They are extremely lightweight and meant to pack flat, so they're super handy. Be realistic about *how* handy they might be, however. The plate was sturdy enough to use when I tested it, but the cup especially seems like it would be very nerve-wracking to drink from, worrying about it flexing too much or unsnapping at the corners. All in all, a great price for a fun set of backpacking gear.
