The components inside are built to last a lifetime and the recipe and instruction book is an easy read, full of fun facts and delicious cold brew drink recipes.
STEP 1 - Add Freshly Coarse Ground Coffee to Filter Basket & Add Water
Using the adjustable burr coffee grinder, add the coarse ground coffee to the stainless filter basket. Fill with water down the center of the basket, ensuring to evenly coat the coffee grounds. To make a full batch add 1 1/3 cup grounds to 8 cups of water. Adjust to your liking depending on whether or not you like it bold or subtle. Yields about 1.5 quarts of cold brew coffee.
STEP 2 - Give a Shake and Cold Brew for 12-24 Hours
In order to fully submerge the grounds in water, screw on the lid and give the mason jar a few gentle shakes. Allow the grounds to steep for 12-24 hours in the fridge. The longer you brew the bolder the coffee will be. The large but compact design easily fits in your refrigerator.
STEP 3 - Remove Filter Basket & Pick Your Favorite Recipe
Remove stainless filter basket part way, allowing remaining coffee in the filter to drain. Refrigerate and either serve as is on ice or choose from one of the many popular recipes from Texas Jack's Famous Cold Brew Coffee Recipes book.

My experience with the Cold Brew Coffee Kit was far from satisfactory. Right out of the box, the burr detached, leaving the grinder useless before I could even give it a try. However, based on feedback from other users on Amazon, it appears that the grinder's inefficiency is a common issue, with many reporting that it takes an exorbitant amount of time to grind coffee beans if it works at all.Considering the $60 price tag, the promised features – including the Ceramic Burr Grinder, a Half Pound Certified Organic Whole Bean Cold Brew Blend, a Recipe & Instruction Book, a Half Gallon Mason Jar, and a Stainless Filter Basket – are far from delivering on their perceived value.Save yourself the frustration and money; this Cold Brew Coffee Kit is not worth the investment. With numerous alternatives available on the market that offer both efficiency and value for money, there's no reason to settle for a product that fails to live up to its promises. Explore other options for a more satisfying cold brew experience without the hassle.

UPDATE....the seller made everything right by replacing the filter!!! Very responsive seller....I would purchase from then again!!!The filter top portion broke off in less than 2 months of use very disappointing

My only complaint with the box set is that the filter I received was not the one pictured. The picture is of the one I received, notice the ring on the filter mesh itself that is supposed to hold the ring on the top in with tension. The ring on the top was already off the filter in the box when I received it. I thought I was supposed to put it together after cleaning, but I can't get the two rings together with the mesh in between any closer than what I have pictured, it just keeps falling apart. The one in the product pictures looks like it is bolted in without the second ring. Not sure if this was a change or what. But otherwise, works really well.

First off, the box alone is worth having in this. They have put together what you need. The turning handle thing goes down in the grooves. The mesh is more durable than you might imagine. The glass is heavy duty. Everything fits together marvelously. The grinder has very cool rubber slip proof on the jar and over the bean compartment. The book is so awesome with history and information about beans. The actual product is also so much fun to try something new. I have my fist batch brewing. This is so super easy to use. It's a hit already.

. I'm really fond of this kit and the enclosed book on the origins of various coffees and a boatload of recipes. It's got everything that you need to make great cold coffee. I was making my coffee hot, with my Keurig, and then refrigerating it. Cold brewed coffee is just what it is, cold brewed. It's a totally different taste from what I was making. Less bitter. I'm using sweetened condensed milk,added after its brewed. Man, its good, really good. I just purchased some Valhalla Java, Odinforce Blend from Death Wish Coffee. Some mornings, I just need a kick to get me started. The Deans Beans that came with the kit ,made an excellent batch of coffee for my uneventful days. My hats off to you guys at Dean's Beans and the folks at Craft Connections, for putting together a really comprehensive cold brew kit. Oh by the way, your burr grinder worked great, but I really had to crank and crank to get enuff coffee to make my first batch. Like my dad used to say, nothing good never comes easy, but put forth a little work and effort, and you can make something really satisfying. I did, and I'm happy . Thanks for everything
