It is 1/4 inch larger than the standard. A difference that you notice, especially when next to other bikes. Cheaper than going through jp cycles, even though I was willing to drive to pick it up.

Granted, when I first saw these they were a lot cheaper. Came on time, brand new and nicely wrapped and protected. Very easy to install. No pictures but once you read the directions, then look at your bike, it makes sense. One thing confused me a bit was the removing of the bolts for the floorboards. Just remove the one bolt toward the front of the bike on both sides.They are very solid, strong and look fantastic on the bike.

Bolted up just fine, no complications at all. Very good set of bars. Won't take long at all to install. I am very happy with these. After putting on foot pegs, it made a world of difference in my riding.

The Cobra Fatty is THE ONLY crash bar that belongs on an 1800 VTX. Seriously completes the look my 1800N. Heavy, solid, and screams PHAT beast. Install instructions are very detailed. It is not necessary to remove the radiator or hoses to install. Remove the 2 fan mounting bolt nuts from the back side (ratching box wrench) and the radiator will pull forward enough, you may want to remove radiator cover however. There are two different sets of holes on the frame of the VTX behind the radiator where it looks like the bar could mount, you want to use the lower set of holes about mid way down the radiator, this is where the upper part of the bar attaches.
