I bought the grey pair in 2021 and immediately took them up the Ramsey Cascades Trail in the Smokies. They had a nice wide toe-box, good arch support, were waterproof, and they were comfortable all day. I have put many many miles on those shoes. But then one of the eyelets popped out this last summer! So I hopped back on Amazon to order another pair because I love them so much, and thought ooh, the black ones are cute!THEY ARE NOT THE SAME SHOE! The toe-box is not wide enough for my feet and they hurt after a couple of miles. Also, the eyelets are sewn on instead of riveted, which is great, but they're not the same shoe. I've tried "breaking them in" but after about 10-15 accumulated miles they still hurt my feet on long walks. I'm very sad.

I ordered half a size up and they fit perfectly. I feel my ankles are well supported. The tread is very good in the snow and muddy areas.

I'm not a frequent hiker/camper, so I'm loathe to buy really expensive hiking shoes, but the downside of not spending enough is you get crap. After reading so many reviews on these shoes, I decided to try one last time. Surprisingly, these shoes turned out to be just right for me. I wore them the first time during a camping trip in which I did light hiking. The first day my feet were sore and my ankles hurt, however this is my fault. I laced them too tight and my ankles always hurt with shoes like this (I'd hoped this part would be different). The subsequent days, I loosened the laces and only went to the first hooks. After that, my feet and ankles were just right. I'm not sure if doing this would be good for serious hiking, but I only had to rock hop across a stream, go up and down giant rocks and walk mostly on trails or flat meadow. I felt more stable on rocks than I ever have before, and going up and down, I felt good and confident grip. I am really, really surprised at how well these worked for not having broken them at in at all. One of the main reasons I wanted these shoes too was to keep my feet clean, so I wore these shoes literally all day. I had no issues, other than the first day. The only thing I would do differently is to change out the insoles with ones I use in my tennis shoes. For the relatively low price, I'm very happy I bought these. I normally wear an 8, but got 8.5. They fit like 8s.

These shoes are very good quality, light and comfortable, except that they are slightly too small in length. I measured my feet carefully, went with the size of the largest one which was exactly right for a 6.5 and ordered those. However, my big toe on the largest foot pushes against the end of the shoe and there is no room whatsoever for socks of any kind. This makes me think that the foot length is actually the length of the shoe and therefore you're going to need to go half a size up to make room for socks and to give a little extra space for your toes. I bought the grey boots because the manufacturer specified NOT to size up on that particular colour as they had recently adjusted the sizes to be just right. Not the case. Unfortuantely, we live in a remote part of Panama and have a forwarding service for our packages and therefore I cannot return these boots and exchange them for the next size up. I'm going to try to break them in and stretch the toe area out using them with bare feet in the house. We'll see how that goes.

Ok. I really needed boots. I was duct taping my other ones and wet feet really get your attention in icy slush. Ordered six different pair from various online companies. I did order up half a size bigger as someone else's review advised that. Well, I didn't expect them all to fit perfect. Tried on the Clorts 2nd to last. Oh, my, I felt like my foot was being embraced in comfort. Soft, warm and like a glove. Wow! Like a deerskin glove fits. Man! Went and ordered 2 more pair right away. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like my feet have went to HEAVEN!. I don't want to take them off! I'm not much on arch support and they're moderate in that department, which I like. Also, roomy in the front part. Maiden Peak and Hi-Tech were too pinchy. Whoever designed and made these Clorts boots is a real artist. The Ariat's are great, but the Clorts are BETTER !!!! I will be hiking a lot in these and in all kinds of weather. Hope your feet are as happy as mine !

Extremely comfortable from first wearing, looks smart and well made. I bought usual size ( after measuring my foot and comparing to chart as well) and would have enough room for thick socks, I put in a heel support as I have ankle problems and I needed more heel height still lots room. Would recommend

Great hiking boot with outside made mostly of leather suede with excellent fit, traction & durability. Great padding inside of shoe as well. As long as you follow size chart for UK to US sizing, the fit is perfect. In US size I wear an 8 medium width. In this boot under UK sizes I wear a 9 medium width. Fit is perfect. Immediately comfortable with zero break in time. So far, waterproofing is great. Can wear thin or thick socks. I also have a planter fasciitis insert inside the shoe and it is totally comfy with or without it inside. Laces stay tight and are quality laces. Buy this boot for hiking or simply wearing around town. It’s an excellent choice! And they look nice too!

I LOVE THESE! SUPER COMFY! I have been trying on hiking boots for weeks and these are the first pair I actually like.1. The top is durable but soft and DOESN'T DIG INTO MY TOES (you don't how many boots do dig into toes)!. These really feel like they are already broken in and I have only worn them around the house.2. Top is mostly leather/suede with some breathable material as shown in picture. BOOTS ARE JUST LIKE PICTURE.3. The bottom inside has some sort of cool memory-foam type padding which *feels like I am walking on a cloud*.4. I have wide feet and these have plenty of room in the toe area.5. I normally wear 8W and ordered 8.5M and seems like a good size with room for thicker socks.6. Seems well made--but of course I haven't worn them a lot yet6. The tags attached to the boots are written in both Chinese and English and the boots are definitely made in China so judge that how you will.I don't plan on using these more than few weeks a year so I don't need the world's more durable boots. I think they are great for the price. I will update review once I have worn them more.,

The best boots I ever purchased. I drive a bus and wanted something to wear that is warm, water proof and will work well in snow. These boots are comfy and keep my feet dry and toasty warm. I purchased the yellow/gold and they are very nice looking and well made. I would highly recommend they hiking boots. I purchased a half size larger and they fit absolutely perfect. I have CRPS and have major issues with wearing anything on my feet and I have no discomfort. I will be buying more.
