We had a heavy duty sorter thing like this for almost 30 years and used it DAILY in a busy medical office. When it finally needed to be replaced I bought one of those way cheaper ones and it lasted MAYBE two months maximum before the dividers started falling out. Ridiculous. So I looked for something better and this sucker is it. It is sturdy and has a big capacity and the dividers are securely fastened and won't be coming loose from the base. I kid you not--spend the money once and never sweat it again by buying this product. There is a world of difference between this kind which should easily last another 25-30 years of intense use daily and the flimsy kind that will fall apart and have to be replaced regularly. I mean, who has time to spend thinking about these things. Do it once and get on with it.

Love it! Strong, sturdy, even for my heavy load of paperwork. Now I will have no excuse not to keep up with my filing. (well, at least when I catch up from a year's worth - before I owned a sorter to help. Why did I wait so long?

Maybe, it's because I bought it to use in my classroom, but it is already tearing. I figured buying the "heavy duty" version would counter the fact that fourth graders would be using it. The strips are made of thick cardstock. I used to make my own out of file folders. I had hoped that I could avoid the extra work, as this year is crazy thanks to politicians and big business getting their noses in education. I guess, I have to go back to making my own the old way. Oh well, buyer beware.

This is a superb organizing tool for anyone without the space or desire for a file cabinet.Its only drawback is its length.
