These clear rocker switch plate covers work well and keep me from loosing my mind over fan and light switches that aren't really hooked up and would be silly to be using. If you need to use the switch, a pencil eraser fits in the hole and pushes the switch.

So while it looks cool, kids easily poke fingers through the holes and switch lights on and off as they wish. The holes need to be much smaller, not for a pencil but for a staple to get through.

I have photocell lights that turn on/off automatically. Got tired of people accidentally turning this off. This plastic cover stops people messaging with my switches. There are holes that make it easy to use the switch when required without having to remove, a pen on pencil fits great. NOTE - very small kid fingers could do this a well.

I have several light switches that I do not want to be turned off. Porch and patio light with wifi color-changing bulbs and a wifi ceiling fan with remote. There are several options out there but most were either attached with magnets to the face plate screws, which I could see getting bumped or touched and falling off, or others that stuck out far and looked just plain ugly. These seemed as low profile as you could get and still allow the rocker switch to function if need be. I am very happy with the choice. The look is non-obtrusive (can hardly notice them unless up close), are clear so they keep the decor intact, have small holes to allow a #2 pencil or screwdriver access in case you need to turn the switch underneath off, and are secure since they attach with screws rather than magnets. As others have pointed out, clean your switches before installing them. I keep a clean house but it is amazing how much grime and dust you do not notice on your switches until you take a close look. Also, they do not come with screws. In my case, the faceplate screws worked just fine. Since every installation can be unique, maybe some will require a longer screw. If so, wallplate screws are cheap and easily obtained at any local hardware store. But I would try them with your existing screws first.

Does what it says it does. No complaints. Super easy to install and I like the tiny holes that you can poke with your pinky if you need to interact with the switch. I have it on a switch that controls my TV and other things. Not sure why my apartment even has this a little inconvenient if the switch is accidentally turned off.

Bought this while searching for extras of a different product I'd purchased before. I have several places where we need light switches kept on. Some are where I've installed motion detection lights (hallways, pantry, walk-in closet, etc) and others are for outdoor lights with motion and/or daylight sensing fixtures. Found this one to be a much simpler design (that still works) that's also very easy to install. In retrospect, the first set I bought (first photo) is "busy" looking and distracts from the clean lines of the original light switch. This product is perfect as it provides clean lines, protects the switch from accidental switching, and still give you easy access, if needed.

The pencil holes allow you to the operate the switch when the guard is on, which is handy, Your existing cover plate screws may or may not work - mine were barely long enough to catch the thread behind the cover plate. There are subtle imperfections in the plastic, and only time will tell if it will turn yellow. It’s a bit bulky, but the plastic is thick, and it seems durable. Overall, it’s a little overpriced for what it is, but it does the job.

You'll need longer plate screws 100%The standard switch plate screws won't thread at all.

These are perfect for covering up switches that you don’t want used or that, in my case, don’t actually do anything. Our home was prewired in most rooms for a ceiling fan. If your fan/light combo uses a remote control though, then you may end up with a wall switch that doesn’t control anything and can’t easily be converted to do so. These covers make it easy to “eliminate” that switch without actually deleting the switch entirely.

Overall it's a good product. Easy to install and looks good. But I KNOW the cost of this product can't be more than 10 cents a piece so the price is ridiculous.

Works great for switches that control my smart devices & sensor lights. I needed longer screws to install this but luckily I had some already

Just got these plate cover guards installed - took about 2 minutes. Each plate fit perfectly over the existng Decora switches; the screws lined up perfectly and they were long enough to hold the guard on. We needed them so we wouldn't keep turning off the lights because we have motion detector that turns on the light fixture. it won't work if we turn the switch off. This has been a great probelm solver.
