Honestly, I wanted to give this a good review. Everything works BUT.... The D-Pad and Analog stick are both mapped the same, amd the worst problem I found was there is no "throttle" if you may. Example in Donkey Kong 64. You slowly move that analog stick up to make you walk slowly in that direction, it'll act as a button press and make you run. There is no walking with this controller. It makes playing games that require you walk over skinny platforms pretty much unplayable.. I'll be keeping it so i have a spare but it really is a waste of money. Do your reseaech and maybe find one with a real analog stick. If i could give this less stars for that I would.

Works great but it the buttons map funky in most emulators and you may need to go through some trial and error to get it just right. This seems to be the case with every N64 USB controller that I have used.

El control es muy bueno, lo probe en pc y es excelente, no es necesario el disco solo se ocupa configurar para que el emulador reconosca todos los botones. Tambien lo probe en tablet y funciona muy bien.

Exactly what I was hoping for and more! Feels better than I remember and works perfectly with Project64. It feels durable and the joystick is very smooth and sturdy!

S/O ordered this, thinking it came with an emulator, or instructions on how to get one that was compatible. No such luck, we worked it out, though, and it works good with what we have. A little flimsy, not really sure how long it's going to last, but it'll do.

This "sort of" works... but the analog stick and D-pad have some overlapping signals. Mine may be wired wrong or something but if that's the build quality then you don't know what you can expect. The dpad seems wired correctly and gives 0/full values on axises 1/3. But the stick is messed up, giving 0/full values (not a range of values) for up/down and outputs 0/full on axis 1 (overlapping the dpad) at the same time as it does the proper ranged output on axis 2 for left/right. You don't get ranged values from the stick up down at all. Basically it is not usable.

Es una replica muy parecida a los controles originales, es un poco mas ligero. Funciona perfecto con la computadora, yo lo uso en una macbook pro retina y el emulador OpenEmu, no fue necesario usar el disco de instalación. Plug & Play.

This item came promptly and works exactly like you anticipate. It does not feel cheap and the USB cable is a standard game controller length.

I received the wrong order at first. I bought this controller along with a different brand of n64 usb controller. The other one came, but this one came as an n64 controller with an actual connection to the n64 console (instead of usb connection). The seller knew they had made a mistake, and they quickly sent this controller and let me keep the wrong order as well. So I have no complaints.Anyway, this is a great product. It's got a good feel to it, and the analog stick is great. I installed the driver first (although that may not have been necessary according to some the other reviews). The mapping was pretty straight forward in Retroarch.I will mention again how much I like this joystick. It's not really modelled after the traditional, stiff-necked, hard-to-move n64 joystick (which was a dumb design anyway, imo). I had that design in the OTHER n64 controller I bought. The problem was that one was either off or on. It didn't have that gradual acceleration that one would normally want in a joystick. So Mario would go from standing to running instantly. There was no walking. I was happy to find that his product DOES have that difference in control. So it's more like a PlayStation analog stick, which is excellent. I think the driver might have made the difference in that, but I don't know for certain.Anyway, for the price, this is probably one of the more quality controllers you can get your hands on. I would buy it again.

Works well. I got this and a Retro Link controller at the same time. The analog is a little stiff on this one compared to the RL but I'm sure will wear in with time. Where this controller shines over the RL though is the combo directions on the joystick (down-right, up-left etc). This controller detects the diagonal directions far better the the RL version, so for me it works much better for FPS games like Goldeneye. The one issue I have with both brands of controller are that the joysticks don't have progressive sensitivity. They are either off or 100% on, meaning in games like Mario 64 you can't really slowly walk around but rather run everywhere. While this is slightly annoying, it's certainly not a deal breaker and you get used to it very quickly, but it is worth noting. Also, this is plug and play with Windows 8.1. Plug it in, map the buttons in Project64 or the emulator of your choosing and you're good to go. I saw other reviewers claim that this is not compatible with Windows 8, but I've had no problems. Maybe those reviewers don't have the proper plugins setup with their emulators?

I've ben using it since I received it, and it hasn't shown any signs of wear. It functions perfectly with the Project 64 emulator. It's a lot lighter than a normal N64 controller used in the platform, but it's something that you can get used to pretty easily.

Love this item. Works well, joystick is tight. This is an exact replica of the original n64 controller. Just a few minor details: buttons are a little sticky and loud but nothing too serious. also, there is no connections in the back where the memory card and rumble pak go, so there is no rumble support (no need for the memory card since its a computer controller and you just save from the emulator). other than that, excellent quality for the price. Super easy to map with Project64.Also something interesting: I bought a micro usb to usb adapter for my Galaxy Note 4 and am now able to plug this controller into the adapter and play n64 from my phone!! Im certain it will work with older phones capable of supporting Mega64 Emulator.
