I run a martial arts school where we teach Kickboxing and striking and I've been boxing for much of my adult life. MMA Gloves are much different than boxing gloves and I've generally been very disappointed with most of the MMA gloves I bought. I'll just state up front, if you're a Boxer, or focused on Boxing, these gloves aren't what you're looking for. They fit snug, with hand wraps you'll have a lot of difficulty getting the fingers through and the padding is much different. But for MMA gloves, they're great. It's hard to say what the most important feature of a MMA glove is, but the overall fit is probably on anyone's top 2 list and I suspect it's #1 to most people. The Velcro is strong, very strong and it's so NICE to be able to adjust your glove and have it stay put. I can't really overstate how important this is and these are tremendous. You can also get them on pretty easily even if you have your other hand in the glove. There's enough space in the fingers and palm that you can lightly wrap your hands (although with full length boxing wraps, that'll be frustrating) but they fit. When you adjust them they'll stay adjusted and this is huge b/c having gloves slip is a huge distraction. The padding is arguably the other most important thing and these are really good. They are stiff. The padding is firm. Much different from how boxing gloves feel and aren't nearly as forgiving but in the context of MMA, I think that's a plus. If you lightly wrap your fingers and adjust the gloves, you can punch a cement wall with these still have them protected. (No, don't do this, I'm making a rhetorical point). The fingers open let you easily grab and clasp, you can easily make a fist and punch, and release quickly (for instance shooting a takedown). You can easily use a Gable grip with these and it's almost seamless (the only difference you'll notice is based on the padding at the top of the glove, but the fingers feel just like you'd hope). They are so natural and subtle that I frequently even wear them when training Judo in a Gi, I can still easily grip fight, which is something that's not practical with many gloves.

These are some decent bag gloves. They're a little stiff at first and then they start to feel better after hitting the bag a few minutes. The stitching isn't reinforced and the hand part fits tightly. These are going to get all sweaty and gross and I'm sure the stitching is going to give because of the tight fit around the fingers. These gloves aren't made to last. These are for a casual or novice puncher. Serious fighters need serious equipment. This ain't it. The build quality isn't where it needs to be for me.

These MMA gloves from Tigear are pretty comfortable. I have somewhat smaller hands but the sizing chart was accurate and it was a good fit. They are a hybrid design that has an open palm design and are suitable for sparring as they have a lot of padding over the front and top of the knuckles like a boxing glove but you are still able to grab. There is good wrist support and some padding on the wrist as well as the outside of the thumb sleeve. You can hit pretty hard with these and they offer good protection and they are easy to put on and take off but stay securely on. They do seem a bit pricy but they feel worth it.

I’ll start out with my only real complaint on these gloves – wrist wraps – they use a sewn clasp that is thing and angled. For training these are great. They fit fine and they feel great on the hands. The reason I specify training is the clasp (sewn into the gloves) creates a sharp angle that creates a wear point and some uneven tension.Having used light boxing gloves, heavy boxing gloves, and JKD gloves over the years I put these between the light boxing gloves and the JKD in terms of freedom of motion – hands/fingers – but still fairly restricted for the hands in terms of actual locking, grasping, and grappling moves. This is not unique to these gloves and is seen in this class of gloves across a range of prices. The conclusion is that these are good gloves, but if you are a semi-pro, a competitor, or someone who is going to do more, then you will want to consider something a lot more expensive. But if you are doing forms/Katas and wanting to spend time on the bag, working with dummies – Wing Chung for example – and/or target striking training (think variation on Parkinson’s boxing training) these are a perfect for that type of workout, offer good protection while still giving you a good workout.

These gloves are super nice, way nicer than I expected. They fit perfect, I have unusually large hands and got the largest size, XL.The material is genuine and built very well. I hit a concrete wall with them and didn’t feel it. For mma gloves these are awesome for sparring and are built like a boxing glove with an open palm.

I'm very impressed with the quality of these gloves. I have several other pair similar to these, but these far exceed any of my others. They are very lightweight but effective in their use. The weight has helped me to increase my speed while better landing the blow where I intended. They slip on easy enough; no different than similar gloves. A person can spend far more money than this for high quality gloves. These gloves don't come cheap but they also are not cheaply made. All in all, these are great and deserve 5 Stars.

Our future son-in-law has been studying martial arts for several years and is currently a second degree black belt. Him and our daughter have started taking an additional class of kickboxing.Last month his old gloves came apart and were basically junk.We ordered these Tigear gloves for him and he has had nothing but praise for them. He did state they were stiff at first but a few workouts took care of that issue. These gloves are truly a top of the line product! The padding is distributed in all the proper places, offering the wearer complete protection. He is wearing the large/Xtra large and the fit is great.Overall a serious pair of gloves for a serious sport! We highly recommend them!
