I recently picked up the CICLOVATION Bar Tape for my gravel bike and have been really pleased with it. Putting it on was a breeze, didn't take much time or fuss, and it stuck well to the handlebars. The high-density rubber is the real deal. It's tough enough to handle bumpy, gravel roads and helps a lot with reducing the hand shaking and tiredness that comes from long rides. The grip is solid too, whether it's sunny or pouring rain, I've felt secure holding onto the bars. Plus, it's comfy enough that my hands don't get sore, even after hours of riding.Looks-wise, it's pretty neat and clean. I went with brown, and it still looks good as new even after some muddy rides.

I like pretty firm bar tape, and I like it thin. This stuff appears to just be silicon rubber, there's no traditional "tape" feel to it. It is pretty sticky, so I can see how riding in the rain might make this useful.I just don't get along with the feel of this tape, it almost feels like mountain bike grips. To each their own, and you might actually really like this tape if you're doing a lot of wet riding or want something way tackier than traditional tapes. You should just know what you're getting into before buying.

The tape is a layer of rubber over fabric (see photo). The rubber wears through very quickly. I don't wear gloves (or it would have worn through even faster I think). I got 4 months of use out of it before it started to wear through behind the hoods (66 rides, 130 hours, and 1 month of the riding was indoors with a towel over the tape - so really got about 3 months out of it). Normally I get 1-2 seasons out of bar tape.PROS: The tape itself is outstanding. Super grippy even when wet or with sweaty palms. I mean REALLY REALLY grippy - you'll never lose your grip on the bars. If you've got delicate skin, it might be too grippy. Very thick and comfortable, excellent shock absorption. Can be easily removed and reapplied.CONS: Way too expensive considering how quickly it wears out. Tape doesn't taper well enough at the edges, so you get ridges where it overlaps. Dirt, dust, road grime - everything sticks to it (price you pay for the grip) - cleans up ok. As the rubber starts to get thin as it wears through, the black fabric underneath starts to show through, making the tape look filthy (dark spots - see photo). If you need the best tape for gravel riding, this might be it. Just don't expect it to last. I love it, but won't buy it again.
