Two or three years ago my wife gave me a ratchet belt for Christmas. I have fallen in love with them. They allow you to incrementally (1/4") tighten my belt to fit my waist perfectly and comfortably. My first one wore out and the latch/ratchet mechanism broke. This Chaoren Ratchet Belt is a perfect replacement and the leather is good quality and in a color I prefer. Will definitely buy another one.

Nice belt that has a decent heft to it. Doesn't feel like those chinsy slim plastic belts that other vendors sell. The buckle is decent as well, compares favorably with Anson at half the price.That said, the reason I reduced it by a star is that the thread on either side of the faux leather is starting to unravel from the side where I trimmed the belt to size. Doesn't seem to compromise the belt but it is noticeable from up close. I've had this belt for about 2 months and I wear it twice a week (I have three different ratcheting belts from three different manufacturers).Good belt but slightly disappointed.

This belt is just fabulous. I carry a firearm and this belt is heavy enough to handle the weight besides holding my pants up better than my other belt. This belt is not a 1.5" belt, but works out a little better than a 1.5" belt. The ratchet really is what makes it work so well and is a real convenience - you just have to get used to the release. Price was fair IMHO. I wear this belt every day and it looks great on dress slacks as well as my denim jeans. I will order another for sure.

This belt is great. The ratchet mechanism works great and holds in place perfectly. Adjustments are easy to make throughout the day as needed. Once you try a ratchet belt, you’ll never go back to the old kind. The leather is top grain leather of fantastic quality and the edge paint is flawless. The hardware is excellent quality and looks great.

This is the first belt that I’ve purchased like this and I have really liked it. It was easy to size to my waist and the belt is firm but not too stiff.When I am wearing it, it is easy to adjust and the small incriminates are nice. I liked it so much that I bought a second one in black. I definitely recommend it.

I needed a new belt. I had heard about the ratcheting systems for some belts. When I saw this one for such a reasonable price, my expectations were rather low. When the belt arrived, I was surprised by the quality. The packaging was very nice. The belt, itself, was made from thick leather. The buckle also felt very solid. I've been wearing the belt for about a month now, and it continues to impress me. It's solid. The details are very nice. The ratcheting system works perfectly. I am very impressed!

Never will I return to the old style belt with the pin buckle. Those types of buckles require one to pull the belt back to insert the pin. This weakens the belt and can cause the belt to crack or even fail. The ratchet type buckle means one just inserts the free end into the buckle and pull until it clicks in place or until the belt is comfortable. Yep, I'm sold. All my belts are now ratchet type. And another plus is the belt can be resized, or replaced if need be. Even getting a different strap or different color buckle. All interchangeable.Now for Chaoren. Very nice belts. Very sturdy. Very comfortable. The only thing I can mention is the type of buckle this 1.5" (38mm) belt uses. My other Chaoren belts have buckles that one lifts to release the belt. This 1.5" (38mm) buckle has a lift switch on the bottom of the buckle. I did not see this and took me a minute to get the belt off (LOL). Other than that, this belt is a keeper and I plan on getting more belts later.
