The red and green are not balanced in their output. Green is very bright, red is dim.But the main problem is high failure rate on the red side rate during testing with 2 X 1.5v batteries. Maybe 4 out of 10 failed . I watched one go up in smoke.For breadboard, I guess they are fine. But I will not be putting them into a panel that requires significant time and effort to remove and replace.

I bought these for single-aspect model railroad traffic lights. These LEDs are diffused and do not suffer from the offset phenomenon I have seen on other LEDs where the light shifts from one side to another when the color is switched. These light fairly bright and centered on both colors.Red will appear dimmer than green but that is the human eye sensitivity at work. Just use less current on the green until the intensity looks balanced, especially when trying to generate yellow by illuminating both colors together.

They work. Both red and green are bright. I just wish the leads didnt protrude past the bulb. This makes it difficult to put the LED in any covering like on a panel.
