Used these to replace some burned out chips on a UV LED Par. These worked great. Only time will tell how long they will last.

Used these to repair a light. They work perfect. Not a single bad one in the bunch. Too bad they cost $1.00 a piece. In the U.S. you can get 50 for $10.00

Chanzon 10 pcs High Power Led Chip 3W Purple Ultraviolet (UV 365nm / 400mA-500mAThe first time I ordered these they did not work AT ALL.Very dim white light and absolutely NO output at 365nm.The second set I ordered worked as expected and put out much more 365nm energy.These are absolutely not the most efficient that exist but they worked as expected and put out some 365nmas expected.You of course need a filter if you don't want to see the white light that these also emit.Photos are shown with a filter over the LED.Current draw at 3.6V is 500mACurrent draw at 3.74V is 800mACurrent draw at 3.79V is 900mASeems stable at 1 Amp (3.84V)I'm not sure where these will fail it.Peak brightness seems to be around 1 amp.Best bang for the buck seems to be around .8 amp.Small heat sink shown in the photo gets work but not hot at .6-.7amp.And seems stable and not in thermal runaway.I do not know what the real source of spec for these LEDs is and I take the description with a grain of salt.It looks like you can push them further with a good heatsink.Photos are shown at .5 and .8 amp.Standard white paper a flourescent zip tie and a flourescent highlighter.

Very bright UV diodes....just what I wanted!Order another brand and they were no where near as bright and they were more blue then purple, as black lighting should be.Very happy, good product!

These are very good at making object fluoresce. Even across a room when you can barely see the light they give off they will light anything fluorescent up nicely. they do give off a purple/white light, but that's most likely from the lens fluorescing.

Minus 1 star for no spec sheet. I had to inquire how to tell polarity. Turns out the lead with the slot in it means "-", i.e. is the cathode side. See photo. Also I am assuming the output spectrum is what they say it is as I have no means to check that. That said, they seem to work the way they are supposed to. With .5 A of current the voltage across the unit is about 3.5. Needless to say these have to be well equipped with a heat sink if you are going to run at that power level. Too bad they don't tell us the junction to case thermal resistance. How about a spec sheet, Chanzon?I recommend putting on UV-blocking sunglasses if you are going to play with these. Second photo is 4 of these LEDs inside, illuminating a BioQuip insect trap, dimensions 15" high x 13" dia., running about 150mA.
