4 stars only because my son prefers another grip. This grip is a good value, we liked the tackiness better than vulan or the original lizard skin. My son uses an axe bat and it can be stretched to fit on it around the knob without having extreme overlap (axe bat owners would know what I am talking about). While wearing a batting glove, it was not as durable as some other grips out there, but it wasn't horrible.

This is easy to install batting tape that gives your bat very comfortable swing.

Easy install, very sticky, and went on easily.Time will tell about the longevity / durability, but my son is more confident in his swing now!Use the dark bands along the edge to guage the overlap (⅛") - makes the install just about foolproof.Also - this DEFINITELY includes the black tape for the top! It's the band that is holding the grip bundle together. Remove it by sliding it off the grip bundle (still in a loop), and then use at the end to secure the grip to the neck of the barrel.Easy peasy! Thanks again!

Excellent grip with this tape on my Rawlins ash bat. Feels great, doesn't slip and easy to apply.

second time changing my grip this summer. already tried vulcan and lizard skin. they both ripped pretty quickly and i dont grip my bat especially tight. this one has over 1000 swings in, no sign of deterioration so far. super cheap too. buy it.

So far this has been a great grip for my daughters bat, she is on a travel team and plays every weekend. The color was right on what we were looking for, matched my daughters LXT perfectly. My only minor complaint is that they would taper both ends, otherwise you have to cut it to taper and have it line up properly at the top. Not a big deal but wish it was a more seamless process because it leaves too much margin of error, fortunately, I didn't mess it up but not as clean as it being tapered.Other reviews i saw people complained about cutting 2 inches off the grip, the directions could be more clear but i believe they are saying on the old grip cut 2 inches deep to get it started to pull off. DO NOT cut two inches off of this grip straight across, the only cutting i had to do was to cut at an angle to taper it so it lined up at the top (and maybe that is what they meant by the 2 inches?).
