We got these for our 4 month old double doodle pup. We were pleasantly surprised as to how sturdy and well made the base for the bowls is.These bowls and stand came in a nice box and the bowls were snugly nestled into a foam padding that was made just for them.The base is solid wood with 4 legs that screw in and have anti slip pieces on them . The part where the bowls sit is just slightly sculpted with an edge to hold the bowls in place, it's not super deep but just enough to keep the bowls from sliding off.The bowls are great quality and heavy duty. They do not have anti slip bottoms so it's up to the base to hold them in place. We got the pink bowls and they are a very nice soft pink color which goes perfectly with our pups fur and collar.The bowls and base are easy to wipe clean also. The set together weighs enough to where none of it should slide around to much. This is a perfect size set for medium to large dogs, it doesn't sit up to high or to low and the bowls are both wide and deep enough to hold quite a bit of food and water.In my opinion I do think this set is a good value because it is made with good quality heavy duty materials. Just keep in mind the bowls are ceramic so if dropped from distance on a hard floor they could break or chip just like any ceramic dish.I would recommend this product and would likely purchase a blue set for my senior dog.
