I no longer use this mouth piece but it was a great introduction into shallower cups. I recommend this to any player. It’s cheap and it’s good.

As a comeback player after 15/16 years this is a very comfortable and excellent mouthpiece way better in my opinion than all my expensive ones! Definitely worth the purchase and it has become my personal daily user. 5c has a well rounded outer rim deeper cup than my Bach 5c took me a few days to adjust and re-strengthen my embouchure hitting crisp, clean full body high E’s above the staff with true ease. Love it! And it arrived on time, quick delivery so I decided to purchase another one as a back up you never know?! Definitely recommend don’t get in the mind frame that a good/great quality mouthpiece has to be expensive!!!

All trumpets purchased on Amazon come with a beginner's mouthpiece (7C). This is the standard. As the lip develops and strengthens you have to upgrade the mouthpiece. You can spend a lot of money on one mouthpiece, but it's unnecessary. The Cecilio 3C silver plated mouthpiece is an excellent product for the next upgrade for beginning and intermediate trumpet players.

I must say that my expectations were very , given the price. However, an excellent review convinced me to part with the few bucks required to make it my own. I can’t really say that I can play better, but the mouthpiece is much more comfortable to play than any of the other 6 mouthpieces I own. The difference is that this one has a more rounded rim, thus distributing pressure on the lips over a larger area. So, I can play much longer without wearing out my lips. I should say that I have recently taken up the trumpet following a 60-year hiatus, so I am working to get my chops back.

I haven't really played my trumpet for more than forty six years. April 2019 I pickup my old high school/college trumpet (Conn Director), made in 1956. I have practiced almost everyday since. I have been having trouble hitting high G, F and A, using the Conn 4 mouthpiece that came with trumpet.I ordered the Cecilio Trumpet Mouthpiece 5C and 3C yesterday and received them today. As you may have guessed, it tried them straight away. The 5C works perfectly for me, I was hitting not only high G, F and A, but high B and C, consistently.Understand, I am only playing for the joy of playing again after all of these years. Playing again in my 70s is so much fun.I would recommend purchasing this mouthpiece, for about $7.00 it is worth the money to me.

It has been years since I have played my trumpet and the only thing in the way of that burning desire was a missing mouthpiece! Always a fan of a 4C i tried a 5C to help get back into playing. I was amazed when this arrived as it was perfect weight and shape. After some warm up, I was immediately able to play like I had before and it was delightful. Sound is not entirely perfect but it is very good. Would be great for a student struggling with smaller mouthpiece.

I am picking up the trumpet again after many years of not playing. I have a few mouthpieces (V.B., Schilke, Olds, but wanted to try a larger deeper cup (5C) and not spend much. I thought the price looked to good to be true, but also low enough that if it didn't work out it was a small loss. I was hoping for but not expecting much. Well, I am very, very impressed. The sizing seems to be correct. The finish is flawless. It plays and sounds great. The deeper cup suits me. I also especially like that it is a higher mass design more like upper end specialty mouthpieces. I much prefer this to the tyical V.B. clones for 3 times the price. I only wish they offered more sizes.
