Charges batteries but the indicator light has never turned green. It is sometimes steady red and sometimes flashing red, and sometimes no light at all!

Don't buy this you have a VX-6r you are attempting to charge. It does not work, not even with the factory power supply.The only one this might work for is the 7R, since its printed on the charger... the big list of models its supposed to work for is suspect.

I bought this charger after another brand arrived DOA. It works with my Yeasu VX5 charging both my Yeasu and after maket batteries. It is light weight plastic and slides around but. It has holes in the base to screw it down. The LED lights up when the battery is charging however it looks orange all the time. You need to look down on it from above it to see the green indicating full charge. You can drop in just the battery for charging or the whole unit and use the HT on receive. ( The VX5 will not transmit while plugged into a charger.) All in all it does the job and is a nice little charger Worth the price.

i am using these on a Yaesu VX5 and it works correctly. The holder keeps the radio snugly in place and completely charges it.
