It is a 3 piece construction with a removable tray. The front of the standard CD jewel case can hold a booklet of up to 32 pages. The back of the jewel case normally holds card printed one side with two spines. As seen in many music stores the jewel case may be cello wrapped to protect it from marking as well as protecting the inside content.

These are nice, standard CD cases! Good to have around for when a CD case breaks. The plastic feels slightly cheaper than the “official” cases that my CDs came in. But I actually think this plastic is less brittle, so these might not be as prone to cracking as the “official” cases, even though they don’t feel as nice.

The delivery was a fiasco - I was not informed that a signature would be required; so I missed the important first delivery day. Then UPS canceled on Saturday after we had gotten up early and waited a few hours. Finally, we connected on Monday in the rain.Only 22 cases were broken when last time there were 14 broken. (The box appeared more bea up and dented this time. )Overall, not too bad.

Love these little cases, they do take a little finagling to get open, but I was surprised that all but 5 out of 100 were in perfect condition, not scratched at all. The 5 that did arrive scratched up seemed to be that way because they were on the ends of the rows of cases packaged up together. I can't speak much for durability yet but they worked perfectly for my purposes. I've already filled around 40 of them with discs so far and they look great and protect the discs. Was a great price compared to other listings I've seen for the black cases. I say that because of the discounted bulk price. Would definitely buy again if I ever needed such a large number of jewel cases again, decent price and was VERY PLEASED to find so few of them damaged during shipping. I've read reviews from other listings where a large number of cases ended up broken or damaged but these were almost perfect!
