8 years later passed from kid to kid over the years. 4 kids total and we still have all but 1. The missing one did brake but it was dropped over 5 feet.

These slides were perfect for my microbiology lab class. They arrived bubbled wrapped and taped inside of the another box. Each slide is separated by a thin lens paper. Cover slips are in a separate box that is wrapped but I will not be using those so I will not unwrap it from its plastic. I believe there are 100 of the cover slips, just incase. The quality of the slides are great. They aren't the really thin ones that I have had to work with before. I have actually dropped the slide (accidently) and it didn't even break. You will not go wrong buying these slides. They also come in a very sturdy box. I went to check the price of microscope slides in my community college's bookstore and was so glad I ordered them from Amazon. They were an extra 4 dollars at the bookstore and it was only for a pack of 12!! So thank you Amazon!!! Hope this helps!!!

Great slides. We have used them to look at all kinds of things. Our kids like to collect things from the yard and the pond then look at them under the microscope. We usually just rinse them and reuse but sometimes the sample is just gross so we toss them. For the price they are a great value and we don't mind throwing some out. One fun thing you can do is to take a photo through the microscope with your cell phone. Line up your cell camera and tilt it just right until you see though the lens, then hold your hand around it to darken out everything else. If you line it up just right you will be able to take a photo of your sample. Kind of fun, especially for the kids.

Clean slides, packed nicely with paper in between each slide. My 8 year old daughter likes making her own slides and these are great to use and were inexpensive. They arrived in secure packaging. The items arrived in a secure plastic pouch but it is not re-usable. One caution, which is not a fault of the manufacturer: I suggest putting the box in a ziplock bag or secure small box. We had this on the table and my daughter picked it up to move it and was only holding it by one side, and the bottom sagged open on the other side which made the slides fall out. Many ended up on the floor, cracked. The box isn't flimsy, but I should have secured it better or separated a few slides out for her to work with instead of the entire box.

As microscope slides and coverslips go, they do what they should. I use them for hobby microscopy. The edges and corners are not finished very well, but they are not sharp either (no cuts yet).Don't expect them to be squeaky clean at this price - they have a little paper lint, and something a bit tacky, on the surfaces - a good rub with a little alcohol on a Kimwipe or microfiber is needed before using. The little plastic container that holds the coverslips isn't quite deep enough, so watch out when you first open it, or the top 10 or so will fall right on the floor. It's kinda hard to get apart, so be careful. One might wish they'd make the coverslips really .17mm like microscope objective lenses are designed for (not some wide range like .12-.17), but at least they cost a lot less than lab-grade slides. Will likely order same brand again when needed.

Nothing was broken. The cover slips are a very thin glass so be careful not to cut yourself. However, I have put no more effort avoiding a cut with these glass slides than I have with school laboratory plastic ones and still haven't been injured. The cover slips are perfect as well. Open the package on a table, though! It is vacuumed tight so it might startle you a bit when opening. It certainly startled me. Magnificent packaging! I know if I had tried opening it standing up (as I almost did) I would have certainly dropped the package. Dropping it might cause a lot of damage. So, you yourself a favor, open the solver package, very carefully with a small puncture at first on a table. The glass cover slips come in their own separate plastic case protected by a special paper. I double counted and counted exactly 72 slides. I did not count the cover slips for obvious reasons but I have faith they are all there. I am VERY happy to have 72 slides of this condition with glass slips of equal quality to match for such an unbeatable price!

I bought my wife a microscope for Christmas (you'd have to know her), and I needed some slides to start her off. I figured I'd start at the bottom and work my way up quality wise until I found a good ratio of quality to cost. These were my first choice and they're fantastic. I didn't notice any defects in the slides I've used at 1000x magnification and the packaging seems great. Well worth the money to an amateur like myself.
