I love this camera protector for my G7 Xii fell down once with my camera and because of the protector that absorb all the fall damage my camera was perfectly fine!!

Everything was great but the case is too thick for the camera to flip up in vlog mode and take selfies. I have to take off the case whenever I want to flip the screen up. The screen protector is great and I like the string to put on your wrist. Wish they would fix the flipping up issue.

The Tedubax soft silicone cover for the Canon G7x Mark II is a great addition to protect your expensive camera. It would have been nice if Canon included something similar, but the aftermarket community comes to the rescue.I have a similar product from another vendor on Amazon, but this product is superior. The primary reasons are the nice lens cover with this product that fits around the knurled multi-function ring and the ability to grip and rotate the function ring from any position. This design provides both a raised lip to protect the end of the lens as well as a nice, enhanced feel when rotating the ring. The “other” product (see photo) simply has a flap that opens when camera powers on and the lens extends. Additionally, the rotation of the multi-function ring is impeded due to small cut-outs on the sides. Some people may prefer this design since the flap fully covers the lens when closed but, I don’t think it’s as effective as the Tedubax design.The product comes with a nice little lanyard as well as (2) rear screen protectors that are made of plastic. I haven’t applied this yet, but it will add a layer of protection from multiple things that “usually” happen with your camera, i.e. spills, scratches etc. Note that the lens cover has some adhesive pads to securely affix the cover to the lens knurled ring. I didn’t use this since the rubber lens cover fit is very secure and I like the ability to remove it whenever I please.One thing I was concerned about was whether the camera with this soft cover would still fit into my snug case. It turned out, this was not a problem so I’m very pleased with that (see photo).Pro Tip:I once read that while traveling, it’s a good idea for security purposes to “not” advertise you have nice camera equipment. To achieve this, you can cut out some pieces of black electrical tape and cover the “Canon” and “G7X” wording. Of course, the Canon name can still be seen on the lens, but it’s not as noticeable as the other lettering.Bottom Line:I would recommend this product (pick a color) to both protect your camera as well as provide a nice rugged and solid feel with respect to the multi-function ring. While some people may like to use their camera without any protection, I don’t recommend it since as we all know “stuff happens” and you don’t want to injure your awesome Canon G7x. Happy Shooting!

It slips right on my G7x Mark II, no issues there. The buttons are easy to use, but not quite as easy as without a case (as is typical with a case).My main reason for wanting this is to protect the lens - as all users of this camera will figure out, the lens cover that comes with the camera is susceptible to dirt/dust/bending and then not automatically opening right away. I'll use this case when it's packed in a suitcase, but probably not while actually using the camera.
