I play in a dodgeball archery league and needed sturdy protection against arrows to the face and head. Originally I was using a paintball pask, but found the visor was fogging up a lot. This helmet works great for protection with much better breathability. My head is about 1/2" bigger than the high end of the head sizes supported, but I'm able to get it on with minimal trouble. (It does sometimes fold my ears as it's sliding down, but there's enough room to get my fingers into the face shield to free them.) In addition to being comfortable, it's as sturdy as you'd expect. I've taken several close range shots to the head and face without feeling it at all. I'm really happy that I made the switch from the paintball mask.
