If you want to burn your boat this is the pump you want. Started right up,within seconds had gas pouring out the carb all over the running engine. Good thing i had new wires with no spark leak.Checked fuel pressure had 26 lbs pressure. about 20 more the the carb can handle.What a waste of time

If these are the pumps Carter is branding these days, it's sad. No make, model, ID, or even a country of origin stamped on this pump.The aluminum casting was so poorly done there were pores at the casting seams on the housing.The original Carter pump on my 1993 350 Mercruiser was beautifully cast, painted with a durable gloss black paint, and is well labeled "Carter, Made in USA, Model #, and part ID" on it. It still works perfectly.This was to be a backup fuel pump for emergency use but this part isn't one you can depend on.

This pump was awful....its pumped well over 30 psi when advertised as 4-6.
