Pump ports wrong type (one threaded/one barbed vs. both threaded) and both wrong orientation. Will not fit stock 1955 Chevy truck w/235. Other reviewer posted same but w/pics what pump was supposed to be. Unfortunately those were at top of page and I didn't read all the way. This might work with lots of mods but not at all pump described & pictured.

The inlet was at 12 o'clock instead of 10 o'clock (looking from the front)but other than that it was a perfect fit. Just had to reroute the inlet fuel line slightly. 1957 Chevy 3100 235 CI engine

Had to replace on my old truck and now it’s running like a new one

I was upset the acdelco is not made anymore. I am very glad I went with the Carter. I have had very hard cold starts over the years. This is a complaint on the Chevy 235. This mechanical pump starts after a couple of turns now. This is the best mechanical fuel pump for the 235 engine.

This is a fuel pump for a 1940 Chevy passenger car I bought 30 years ago. Not being the original owner of the car, I don't know if this is an original item or not. However, this pump is very similar in appearance to the one that I took off the car. One drawback is that the "OUT" pipe-line fitting is angled too much back towards the engine block. I had to bend my fuel line to make it fit correctly for use.

It worked on my truck without a lot of Modifications.

Appears it would have bolted up, but the inlet and outlet are oriented reverse of the way they are on my 54 Chevy truck with a 235. The pump arm was slightly different as well but it appeared it would have worked. I ended up ordering through my local auto parts and the pump they had was very similar to what was on the truck.

Definitely doesn't fit a 1955 Chevrolet 235. Not even close. What you will receive is not what is pictured. What is pictured is the fuel pump I wish I received. Maybe this review and these pictures will help someone.
