These are flat, well made, smooth sticks that are great for crafting, working with epoxy or paints, small home repairs... you'll find new ways to use them just because you have them! Maybe you plant a garden and need to mark what is planted in which row. Maybe the kiddos are going bananas on the third rainy day in a row stuck inside and you break out these sticks and some glue and tell them to build a house - or a town if you got the largest box. Oh, and they might entertain curious kitties who love to steal emery boards and toss them around... just don't let them chew! It would be great if they were packaged in something a little more sturdy but that is a minor inconvenience.

NOW I finally have enough stir sticks for my resin projects. The Popsicle size are too short, and the really big ones I got are too flimsy. I was alwasy looking for the perfect size for disposable stirrer......FOUND IT!

At $14.99 for a box of 500, these are about $0.03/each. They're actually good quality and splinter-free. I use them mainly to mix small batches of paints and stains as well as for spreading wood glue for my art projects.

Came as described. I am using them for projects with the kids, so this bulk box of 500 is perfect. My only complain is likely at the fault of Amazon and not the seller or the product, but it was packaged poorly and the box deformed and several of the sticks came out. But they still work for my purposes. If you go through a box of these within 3-6 months, defintiely get the 10 pack, the cost savings for that is worth it.

Ok, this is a flat wooden stick - I don't know how much I can tell you about sticks. I choose these based on price; I've never got bad ones. I am not in the medical field, so I can't comment on that. I'm using these for woodworking and gardening. For woodworking I use these to mix epoxy, to mix finishes, and lots of other tasks. Got a hole that's stripped out? Break off a piece, or pieces, of one of these, and jam them into the hole with some Tightbond 3. Run in your screw - good as new.In the garden - why pay 5x as much for wooden plant markers? I take a tongue depressor and write on it with a marker. 5 seconds with a utility knife makes a point on one end, though a lot of times that's not even needed - if the soil is soft it goes in fine.OK - I've said way too much about wooden sticks. I use a box every couple of years, so this one will last me at least that long.

I use tongue depressors mostly for mixing 2 part epoxies. For this purpose there are great. They are straight basically flawless pieces of wood. So why deduct a star?Well they come in a rather light weight paper box which is fine BUT neither the top or bottom of the box is taped shut. These were shipped to me in one of the big brown paper bags. When I opened the bag it was full of 500 tongue depressors. Okay, there might have been 50 that were still in the box.To the manufacturer, spend $0.02 per box and tape both ends of the box shut. 500 of these will most likely last me the rest of my life but come on, do they really think that the box won’t open up during shipping? Sheeeezses!

They are clean and splinter free. I didn't notice any dust or defects. They smell of standard "popsicle" sticks. The price is alright, though these are not individually wrapped and cannot be considered "sterile". This is clearly evident on the product page so I'm not taking off a star for that.I plan to keep a few of these in a first-aid kit in a zip-lock bag. They can obviously be used for crafts, mixing sticks, etc. For such purposes they are easy to score down the middle and break in half, which gives you a better mixing stick with a curved and pointed end.

I ordered these for craft projects, principally for applying/spreading various glues, resins and gooey stuff like that. They work perfectly in that capacity. I'm very pleased. In fact, the quality of these depressors is outstanding. They are strong, smooth, uniformly shaped, and so far not a single rough edge.
