Doesnt fit a stihl ms271. The plastic piece on the oem carb doesn't fit on this carb.

Carburetor shafts are to short to work for the ms291, shaft diameters are smaller than oem so they won't swap. Air filter would not fit the adapter either.

tried to put the air filter on. had to squeeze it on and once on could not close the motor cover. it has a too large diameter for the machine. was busy so i waited to try it but i may be too late to return it

Chainsaw was all but useless prior to swapping out the carb. After swap it cranked on the second pull and it has way more power!

This carb does not fit the Stihl MS 271 Farm Boss. The trigger bumper on the carb, which it does not come with, does not fit onto the lever. It would need to be filed down. The overall build quality is low. The adjustment screws are non responsive. On the selector switch, the linkage bumps into the plastic housing, and does not let it drop all the way down. Waste of time and money.
