This spur gear fit perfectly on my 1/16 E-Revo vxl and brushed . It is a steel gear. Along with steel comes rust, but minimal. Only where the coating wore off from gear mesh. It is anodized. It's a good product at reasonable price. I've bought 3 so far.

I THRASH my 1/16 revo VXL on the much larger Summit tires, and this spur gear was needed for a shorter ratio for the larger tires and its super durable so far.
