For the price, it is fantastic. I needed a lightweight, compact solution for a last minute camping trip. Not wanting to have to either sleep on the ground or bring an air mattress, I decided to try this out. My reason for choosing it was that it seemed to come with everything needed. The hanging straps are sturdy, long, and provide a wide range of adjustment without needing to tie any knots or play with cheap ratchets. It hangs easily anywhere you have two trees between 10-16 feet apart. Easy to get into, the nest is comfortable and feels secure.The upgraded tarp is worth the price alone. It feels like a higher quality fabric and has a reflective coating to serve as an emergency blanket in a pinch. No complaints here.There are a few shortcomings however. First, it uses the standard issue cheap aluminum stakes that are just barely serviceable. Next, there is no ridge line for the bug net, so it hangs very close to the face. Not a huge deal, but less than ideal. Finally, it came with a bunch of short pieces of cheap paracord. While they may work to stake down the rainfly, they were not long enough to act as a ridgeline. I ended up tying them together to make a longer length. It can be assumed these are scraps from some other product, however for $30 it can be overlooked.

For the price, this hammock did amazing. My 14 year old took it on a long canoeing trip and it worked perfectly. The seams held strong, the rain fly did its job. A great deal!!

The rain fly isn’t square but rather a small rectangle! Too small to guard from rain and actually funneled water into the hammock. The netting tore out and essentially useless.Threw it away after a disastrous night camping.
