They work exclusively with the Mini Jet Wine Filter and are perfect for wines aged 2–3 months. These pads enhance the clarity and visual appeal of the wine by refining it after the Coarse Pads (#1) filtration stage. Which Pads to Use: Use Polishing Pads (#2) after the Coarse Pads (#1) to remove medium-sized particulates. Follow with Fine/Sterile Pads (#3) for ultimate clarity and stability. Proper Pad Placement: Place the Polishing Pads (#2) in the middle plate of the filter stack. Ensure the rough side of the pad faces the wine as it enters the filter. Using an Electric System: With the Mini Jet Wine Filter, once the Polishing Pads (#2) are in place, the self-priming pump will automatically begin filtering the wine. Ensure that the filter is primed, and the intake hose is correctly positioned in your wine container. Filtering Your Wine: After the Coarse Pads (#1) have done their job, replace them with the Polishing Pads (#2) to filter out medium particles. The process is quick and effective, with 20 liters (5 gallons) of wine filtered in just 15 minutes. Few Filtering Tips & Troubleshooting: Tip: Use Polishing Pads (#2) after coarse filtration for better results. This will give your wine that polished, bright appearance. Troubleshooting: If the pads clog too quickly, check the clarity of your wine. Wines with a lot of suspended solids may require longer settling before filtration. Always make sure that the pads are correctly installed.
